Epic Entry Part 3 (Hong Kong Trip)...

The 3rd day of our holiday was purely free and easy and [Dad] actually wanted to start our day with shopping @ the [Temple Street Night Market] off [Jordan Street]... However, as the name of suggested, the ppl will only begin their biz in the evening, so I wasn't surprised to find the street deserted @ 10 am in the morning...

Thanks to my suggestion, we took a bus to the [Star Ferry Terminal] as I wanted to have a look @ the [Clock Tower], which is listed as one of the tourist attractions... To my dismay though, the [Clock Tower] is under constructions, so we were left to wonder around... The [Hong Kong Cultural Centre] was also located there and to me, it's the equivalent of [The Durian] tt we have in [Singapore]...

Anyway, if you look hard enough @ the previous entry, you would've realised tt [Victoria Harbour] is directly opposite from where we are @ this very moment...

Look @ the [Olympics] sign... It's so big tt it's visible from across the waters!!!
Unknowingly, we stumbled across the [Avenues Of Stars] and this is where the photo spree starts...

By this 2 pic, I gather tt you should have a rough idea what the whole [Avenue Of Stars] is abt liao, hor...



This scene reminds me of those ocsplay event where tons of ppl simply can't resist snapping their cameras @ the subject... The only difference is tt these status won't change their pose... LOL...





I would think tt tt's abt it... Just lots of wind due to the area being near the sea as well as some bronze status of the ancient film making days... Until I look @ the floor and discovered tt there're handprints on them!!!

We accomplished all these sight seeing within a half a day and we realised something... The naming system of the bus-stops are unlike tt of [Singapore]'s... The stops for the return trips are named different and not 'Opp. Whatever-Stop-Tt-We're-Currently-At'... We found this out the hard way when we were on the bus and missed our stop due to us not knowing the naming system, causing us to travel back all the way to the stop where our hotel was located... We thus decided to take a rest instead and continue our window shopping @ the [Temple Street Night Market] in the evening, when the shops are abt to open...

Epic Entry Part 2 (Hong Kong Trip)...

We started day 2 of our holiday by joining a half day tour and the 1st stop was to a tea restaurant for breakfast... The price of the set meal is un believable... For HK$50, you get a bowl of porridge, steamed rice rolls, BBQ pork bun, siew mai and shrimp rolls... It's really filling, so the price is super worth it... In addition, the restaurant is quite packed, mainly due to the elderly who are there slowly having their meals, chatting and reading the papers... This scene is a sharp contrast of the hectic lifestyle of [Singaporeans], who usually just eat, pay and leave...

Once we're done with our hearty brunch (I'm taking tt meal as brunch as there's no lunch), we headed to [Victoria Harbor]...




And opposite from where we are, it's [Kowloon]!!! Amazing isn't it???




The next stop tt we visited is [Qian Shui Wan] (I'm not sure of the English name though... *Blush)... The attraction there is similar to tt of our [Har Pa Villa], only many many times attractive...

The gods of happiness and luck are side by side...

We are crossing the bridge of longevity... Hoho... This means tt I won't be dying young le... Heke... ^_^

Our next stop is @ [Aberdeen]...

My sis attempting to be taller than me, not tt she's short or anything...

The attraction here is the river taxi... And this brings back the vision of [Clarke Quay] doesn't it??? Haha...

The 1st thing tt we saw while we're on the river taxi are rows and rows of yatches of very, very rich ppl in [HK]... Looks like [HK] has a lot of rich ppl nia... *Sigh*

However, further down the ride, we're able to see the boats tt are in worse condition... This, as explained by the tour guide, are the boat houses of the poorer population... Now this brings back some vague discussion which I've witness or read from somewhere abt the morality of such sight-seeing... To witness the poverty in their daily routine...

Surprisingly, the person operating the river taxi is a lady!!!

We accomplished all those within half day and after returning back to our hotel for a a couple hours of rest, we headed out again, this time walking along [Nathan Road] all the way to [Ladies's Market], the bigger, better version of [Singapore]'s [Pasar Malam]... I have to endure the stench of the fermentated toufu 1st before actually reaching the street, yucks!!!

My, my... Look @ how pack the place is!!! There's no sign of the crowd reducing in numbers as the time strikes closer to 10 pm!!! Plus the closing time of the shops there is like @ midnight!!! Haha... Guess I can now fully understand why [HK] is termed as a shopping heaven...

A typically shop selling lots of stuff... They're even selling the street signs!!! LOL!!!
