Open House, Inline Skating And So Totally BBM!!!

You have been forwarned... This entry might be quite long, probably ad infinitum... So ya... Read on @ your own risk... *A banshee scream could be heard from the distant*

It's not everyday you can visit some run-off-the-mill open house on a [Sunday] with friends... But it did happen... The [NUS] open house - from 11th to 12th March...

[WQ], [Joan], [Lynn] and I met @ [Clementi] and boarded 96 to the large, old yet busy [NUS]... It's supposed to be busy... But once we entered the campus... It's like so deserted, giving you the feeling tt you've been to the wrong place... @ least there's assurance from ppl around us, moving like some zombies heading towards 1 specific direction, where most of the activities took place... Of course, the other reason there's a migration pattern's pretty obvious... For the goody bags, what else?!

We 4 then went with the crowd to some MPR like room where there's what I presume to be some kinda CCA display centre... We toured around a little, and I'm not sure abt the rest, but I was trying hard to make my mind think with all those loud music blasting @ my poor eardrums and taking all those brochures tt ppl are stuff us with like the paper's free or something... Poor trees from the Amazone forest!!! I feel for you, being made into tiny paper just to be discarded into the trash the next day...

Once the tour of tt confined noisy place's done, we hitched a shuttle bus to [Shear's Hall] and have a look @ hostel life... It turned out tt hostel life could be quite fun... No curfews, independent living, many neighbours and best of all, small dorms!!! Now I need not worry abt cleaning up my own room... A simple 2 hrs per wk should keep my room neat, shiny and super clean...!!! Of course, all this doesn't come cheap... S$1.4K per semester for all your meals, a room with bed, a study table, a wardrobe, and electricity... Now how on those ppl actually cough up those cash in addtion to the very ex. sch. fees??? Work??? Doesn't this means tt their daily schedule's gonna be extremely packed??? *gasp*

Hostel life aside, we decided to continue to the [NUS Business Sch]... But once we arrive there, it seems totally haunted, dilapidated... Guess it's not opening their doors to visitors... Sigh... So much for wanting to learn what courses are availabe...

Anyway, we decided to head over to [The Cheese Prata Shop] then, which is like 20 mins to 1/2 hrs walk from 1 of the many [NUS] exits??? Who cares abt tt when we can have delicious bananna and pinapple prata topped with yummy cheese??? And DUH, it's not your average cheese tt you see ppl use @ [Lot 1]... It's quality cheese tt melts in your mouth... Simply marval-licious!!!

Once we have our late lunch, our final destination's [West Mall] where we partonised the arcade... It's a pity tt the [Para Para] machine's no longer there... But @ least there's still the racing... And I used up my luck there and then cause usually, you need 2 tokens... But somone left 1 token there and all I have to do is add 1 more and I can play!!! Cool right???

My downside came where we play those table hockey or whatever-you-call-tt game is... I was totally trashed by [Joan] and [WQ]... 2 v 1... The situation's made worse when I told them the ultimate way to defend against an atk... It's totally to my diadvantage... And my only consolation was to beat the [Pocket Fighter] game... Heke...

So tt's it for the open house... Feeling bored already??? Awww... The best's always @ the end... So read on...

I had my final inline skating lesson today and it's just revision for me and more practice on turning as it's pointless to be promoted to a new level when this is the final time you see those witty, good-looking instructors...

Revision done, it's urban time... What's tt lingo you say??? It's nth... It just means to skate in the outside world, away from the safe confines of the sch, which FYI, isn't tt safe... Imagine moving down tt [Ramp] and not knowing the correct way to move down a slope??? I end up falling on purpose as a means of breaking... So un-glam right??? Yes!!! Esp when you're in those really short shorts, exposing your fat, fair legs, falling @ a high velocity means getting some scratches, which fortunately for me, I didn't sustain any...

The terror doesn't end there... Outside, the road's uphill and downhill and I end up lagging behind as every time I tried to accelerate, I'll end up losing my balance and falling... The woes of having a high C.G... Tsk... Skate, blam! Fall, skate, Blam! Fall... The cycle repeats itself everywhere I go... Across the road, up some minor slopes, down some pavement... And I almost slam onto a tree!!! So I conclude tt I can only skate for fun, doing slow acceptable speed... Not those snail pace where even walking's faster...

We finally arrived back @ sch where we could finally be dismissed, after all those sweat... Now I'm so looking forward to the ice skating this [Thurs]... @ least I can skate, fall and not bruise myself and not sweat @ all!!! Such a good bargain, why pass up a chance @ tt?!

O-k-a-y... We're almost @ the end... The last part's perhaps a self confession??? Perhaps I'm really not normal... Fancy seeing some gay kissing scenes and not feel weird... Check out tt webby and you'll know...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TzLDUhNQ9U8&search=formula%2017

Seriously, after watching tt 4 mins long clip where they kiss so passionately like any ordinary couple, I still don't feel grossed out, weird or anything... Rather the opposite feeling surfaced... Check out the BBM's entry and you'll know what kinda feeling I'm feeling...

Oh well... I guess I better end here or else you ppl are gonna boycott this blog for breaching protocool... Writing too long an entry... *Grins* ^_^

Food-for-thought... Personally, I would appreciate ppl if they give straight answers... Like 'yes' or 'no', not 'perhaps I'll update you some other time'... I mean, what could tt mean??? A yes or a hint of no??? How would I know??? I would rather be brought back to reality asap rather than float so high before the truth hits... Then it'll hurt cause the higher you are when you fall, the more pain you'll feel... So don't give me a 'yes', but it's a 'no' in the long run or vise versa... Just be direct!!! *Not arrowing anyone in particular*
