A Post To Keep It Going...

Yesterday, my class held a [Halloween] party by getting a function room somewhere in [Woodlands]... Since it's a [Halloween] party, we were supposed to dress up or something, but since not many are receptive to the idea of dressing up, they decided to just do the pot luck concept where everyone brings a food tt's supposedly must be scary in nature...

Me, being uncreative as usual, couldn't think of a dish tt when spiced up, seems scary until [XP] suggested buying a few tub of ice-cream, melt and mix them together before refreezing them again... LOL... Well, ppl might find tt scary/disgusting, but I find tt it's okay, considering tt I like to eat melted ice-cream or mixed ice-cream flavours...

Okay, this is going to sound lame, but despite all tt I've typed, I didn't attend the gathering yesterday night... The main reason it being held in the night and the 2nd is tt I'm kinda lazy when it comes to food preparationg... Wahahaha... =)

But I did heard abt what happened... With the epic topic of how 1 of our classmates who got rather drunk, acted and could hardly remember what she did... YES, IT'S A SHE!!!

She didn't get totally wasted though, but it's bad enough already...

It started when she became not too sober and she kept insisting tt she's not drunk yet... Then she rested on the shoulder of a guy tt was rumoured to like her... And tt was rather funny when all the guy did was simply stoned there... Though it just gets better when the others tried to get her to move and head home as it was already 2300 hrs then... They did by attempting to bluff her tt it's 4 am in the morning, but it seems like though she's rather drunk, she's still quite smart...

'I'm not drunk... It's only 11 pm lor, cause the botak security guard is still here...' Tt's the statement tt she said WHEN THE SECURITY GUARD WAS AROUND!!!

LOL... There seems to be more hilarious events tt took place, but the most EPIC one of all was tt we realised tt when she's drunk, she'll go around KISSING random ppl... 1st was another gal classmate, followed by the attempt to kiss the other guy classmates... Then the last was her attempt to kiss the taxi driver too... Sheesh!!! It totally reminded me of [Hanazakari No Kimitachie]...

The scene when [Sano] was drunk and started to kiss [Kagurazaka]... LOL!!!











Anyway, it seems like everyone had some degree of fun, especially when there's someone so drunk from drinking [Absolute Vodka]... Haha... A pity tt no one ever did contemplated bringing a camera or some device tt could capture images or record videos... Zzz... -_-"'

Grrahhh... I guess it's the workload and stress tt's starting to get to my head... For reasons unknown, I've lost the interest to game, to absorb [Vitamin D], to practically do any other thing other than stay @ home and mop... It's not like I've been ditched by some hunk vampire tt I'm seriously in love with...

In case none of you have any idea what I'm talking abt, I'm referring to the scene from [New Moon]... If after this explanation, you still have absolutely NO idea what tt is or have the strange impression tt I'm talking abt the event when the moon is not visible in the night sky, you're much more of a mountain tortise than I am... -_-"'

Anyway, I just missed [The Gang] outing for the 2nd time in my life!!! After seeing the pics they [SH] took, I feel kinda bad tt I chose not to turn up @ the last min... In fact, after [MJ] told me on [Mon] tt the outing was scheduled to be held yesterday, I was already contemplating on giving it a miss... The final push was not only my [Marketing] presentation tt was due on [Fri] tt resulted in me to stay up darn late almost for 5 days straight in order to complete tt on top of my other tutorials as well as the fact tt I've yet to do my [GEK1527] assignment tt's due on [Wed] @ 0900 hrs... As a result of all those factors, I've decided to confine myself @ home in order to complete tt 1 assignment which I spent 2 days in order to complete it (signs of unproductivity)...

Oh well, I guess for the next few wks, I'll most probably be pressed for time to complete my other weekly assignments as well as my [MKT1003] individual assignment tt's due on [6 Nov]... *Sigh*

Not to mention tt I've yet to clear my 2 [GEK1527] and 1 [MKT1003] e-lecture which I should've done ages ago during the [University Wide E-learning Week]... Procracstination, procrastination, procrastination... I'm such an expert on tt...

Anyway, it's kinda of late to say this, but yes, I'm back to playing not only [Dragonica] but [MapleStory] too... And only when I've the time, of course... LOL...

A cash item tt you'll get for free when you enter [MS]... I was lucky to get it!!! Too bad I don't have much friends to party with to earn the 80% increase in exp tt the ring gives... =S

Okay, so I've been playing [MS] since 5 yrs ago, but I didn't know tt it's really, really possible to get to [SleepyWood] from [Ellinia]... I only realised tt recently when [Sis] told me tt if you head all the way up in the map [The Tree That Grew], you'll eventually end up @ a map with a warning tt warns you not to fall jump down as it's '30 km in altitude'... LOL... With such a warning, it's only natural tt you'll want to jump down... After all, when ppl tell you not to do something, they'll usually want you to do it de... Haha... ^_^

Anyway, like I've mentioned on the previous post, I screwed up during my [MKT1003] presnetation... However, going by the feedback the tutor provided, our group did rather well... We just have to improve on our confidence, stand nearer to the audience and have slides tt're more visually appealing by utilizing the various functions tt [MicroSoft Office 2007] provides... Haha... Well, this is my 1st official presentation in [NUS]...

Anyway, I don't know why there's such a practice to take a group pic... Perhaps to commemorate the hard work tt we've placed for this 20% of our overall grade??? LOL... No matter what, I'm not complaining... =P

Nightmare...

'You've finally experienced what it's like to be in [NUS]'...

Tt was uttered to me as I complained to my group mates tt I completed what I was tasked to do for our [MKT1003] group project tt was due today and could only sleep @ 0130 hrs this morning...

Not to forget the part tt I've to wake up @ 0530 hrs, just 4.5 hrs later... It was really a extremely good experience and 1 I hope tt I wouldn't have to repeat anytime soon...

Meeting @ 0900 hrs for our 1st and final practice before the real thing is really scary when the tutor demanded a certain lv of professionalism... No cue cards or scripts are to be in our hands and hence, we've to memorise what we've to say...

Initially, it sounds easy with the false impression tt the slides will be able to prompt us on what we have to say... However, we must @ least know what we're supposed to say 1st and this is something tt was seriously lacking in me...

With my day ending @ almost 1800 hrs every other day and me arriving home @ abt 1900 hrs, it was a near impossiblity to do my tutorials, manage the presentation slides and memorise what I've to say... Not to mentioned tt the whole allocation of who to say what part was only finialised @ the very last min, like 2 days before the actual presentation...

It was a nightmare before the real thing and a nightmare when the real thing came... Unlike my group mates, I GOT STUCK DURING 1 OF THE SLIDES WHICH I WAS PRESENTING!!! The explanation to a pt on the slide just blanked out of my mind and I couldn't continue for tt fw blaring seconds... THE AWKWARDNESS WAS BLARING AND WHATEVER LITTLE CONFIDENCE TT I HAVE JUST VANISHED...

Well, what else could be expected from a person who hasn't spoken out to a group officially for 3 yrs??? *Sigh*

I still have many mre practices to go and I just hope tt I'll be able to get the confidence tt's hiding somewhere within me... Haha...

For now, I'm off to chill before concluding this long and tedious day... Tml shall be yet another day of mugging... I've so many deadlines to meet, gosh!!!

*Sigh* There's a limit to the number of creative titles tt I can come up with after blogging for so many posts... Oh well... The title's not really tt impt... It's the content tt counts anyway...

Craptastic... I think I'm heading on the path of self-destruction after I treated the entire e-learning wk as yet another 1 wk holiday... -_-"'

As a result of tt, I'm like 5 lectures behind when my schedule returns back to normal... I totally didn't listen to a single webcast during tt entire wk, only managing to listen to 2 webcasts during the weekend before this wk started... Dotzzz... I'm screwed, period...

In addition, I realised tt my webcase for [ST1131A] was totally fei de... The lecturer literally used the [PowerPoint] format and recorded his voice on every slide... Not only was the background noise louder than his voice which gives the impression tt he's whispering into the mic, the whole thing lasted for abt 30 mins max... The ultimate thing tt proved tt the webcast was a complete waste of time was when I went for the lecture on [Mon] only to find tt the lecturer actually REPEATED EVERYTHING tt was on the webcast and he used 90 mins for it... ZZZ!!! -_-"'

Anyway, time is indeed insufficient with all the work tt just keeps piling up nonstop... I couldn't even find time now to actually [Maple] or [Dragonica] in peace... *More depressing sigh*

LOL... Oh well, I think I shall end here le... Haha... Bet this should be my 1st ever shortest entry in ages... Well, I can't do much with a time limit of a mere 45 mins as I'm currently in sch waiting for my lec to start... It's nice to have a lappy around so tt I can kill time by tending to my farms and restaurant...

MAybe I should try out [Cafe World] too??? LOL... =P

Horrible, Tiring Week...

Ohmigosh... It's only 6 pm and I feel as if someone has casted 'Drain' on me, depleting my lifeforce... I feel freaking lethargic la!!!

Anyway, I should rewind a little... I've had my [DSC2003] mid-terms on [Monday] and I'm rather confident with regards to my performance on tt paper, until yesterday when the lecturer actually went through the paper itself, telling us how the questions are supposed to be answered and all...

Tt's when I realised tt I've made some rather very stupid mistakes, also known as careless mistakes... Apparently, 1 of the question was more or less a replica of a tutorial question, just tt some of the numbers were changed, causing the objective function to be different...

And this is where the stupid part comes in... I actually used the concepts from the tutorial question to answer the question, w/o any modifications @ all... So, my answers are totally, zettai wrong with respect to tt of the exam question... Zzz... Way to go, huh... -_-"'

In addition, I had my [BSP1005] test today too... Again, I was kina jittery for unknown reasons... I even had this nagging feeling tt I just might have misread my lecture venue on [IVLE]... And this insecurity stemmed from my embarassing situation yesterday...

I knew I had my [Mkt1005 Subject Pool] after my [ST1131A] tutorial, which is why in the morning, I checked my e-mail as well as my handbook to be doubly sure... Yet when I headed over to [Experimental Lab 1], I was told tt my survey was 30 mins later, @ 1530 hrs instead... GAH!!! I couldn't believe tt I actually checked twice before coming to sch, and another time before the thing actually start, and I still failed to noticed tt I wrote tt I booked the time slot @ 1530 hrs...

It was amazingly retarded... So I ended up wandering around [Biz] building for 15 mins or so, all the while disturbing [YH] while she was making her mooncakes to kill the time... LOL... And I wanna make mooncakes too!!!

Well, [YH] promised tt next yr, she's gonna teach me... Yeah!!! *Double victory sign*

Oh, back to my insecurities... Because of tt incident yesterday, I was slightly paranoid tt I might end up waiting @ the wrong venue... After all, with abt 15 mins left to the start of the test, there still wasn't any familiar faces, which contributed more to my anxiety...

In the end, the anxiety was all for nth... The test wasn't so hard either, so I'm just praying tt I won't be making any more idiotic careless mistakes... Tt 2 yrs break from studying has indeed done some irrevocable damage to my brain... *Sigh* =S

The last interesting thing worth noting down is tt I actually spent a total of approx. 6 hrs with [SL] yesterday... LOL... I met up with him for lunch to force an answer out from him regarding next week's activity down @ [ChinaTown]... Then he needed a dinner buddy, so it's only natural tt I agree to it considering tt I do have to settle my dinner before heading home too... LOL... And he pon his lec just to crash my lec to study for his test @ 8 pm... Somehow, after I type this and think abt it, it seems kinda weird... But whatever... I'm not complaining!!!

I tried the food from the [Indonesian] stall @ the [Engin] canteen by his recommendation and as it turns out, it was really not too bad... I just have to remember to not get those spicy curry onto my rice... Haha... It wasn't THAT spicy... It's just spicy, but I don't like it... LOL... Troublesome, I know... =P

Hmmm... I think I should stop liao and watch ep. 2 of [Liar Game]... In the meantime, here's something which I heard from the radio...

In a blink of an eye, days have passed and it's [Sat] night... Less than 48 hrs till my very 1st mid-term paper for this semster...

It seems like I've now lost the ability to be totally relax and deny the reality, pretending tt everything will eventually work out fine... Upon hearing tt a certain friend's friend actually did all but 2 of the questions in the Ch 4 [DSC2003] textbook, I found myself being unable to ignore tt fact...

In the past, when I learned tt my classmates have actually practiced on the TYS and all, I simply couldn't care less... Yet I couldn't do it now... Instead the stress tt I'm feeling seems to be increasing as the date for tt paper approaches...

I can't stop thinking of the stuff tt I've yet to complete and the lack of time... Could this be the result of being too caught up with the [Facebook] apps??? I seem to be more concerned over my farms instead of my assignments and tutorials...

I need chill pills...

*Sigh* I'm losing my ability to blog too... Is it only a matter of time before I become a total trash??? Is this a result of a real case of my brain turning to mush???

Anyway, I haven't been reading the papers lately, so when I heard snippets of what my friends were talking abt yesterday abt the following news as we made our way to [Funan] in search for lunch, I've decided to do some digging on the [Internet]... Girl Cries Molest, Top NUS Grad Says I Can't Control Ejaculation - The Straits Times, 24 Sep 2009

POLICE, laboratory technicians, a psychiatrist and a urologist were all harnessed to look at the mystery of a drop of semen on the thigh of a woman on a bus.

Did it appear because of a hair-trigger ejaculation of a male passenger – said to be a rare condition?

Or was it the act of a pervert?

The 24-year-old woman had cried molest after she claimed an undergraduate on the bus brushed his private parts against her thigh.

When the police were called, they found a drop of semen on the woman’s thigh.

DNA tests showed that it belonged to Chong Weien, 28, who was then a psychology student at the National University of Singapore (NUS).

He has since graduated at the top of his class and has been accepted to do his Master’s programme with an Australian university, the court was told.

But this may have to wait as he was found guilty of one charge of outrage of modesty after a trial. He was jailed 15 months’ and given three strokes of the cane.

The prosecution is appealing against the sentence, while Chong is appealing against his conviction and sentence. He is now out on bail.

His defence was that he suffers from spontaneous ejaculation – a condition which causes him to ejaculate without physical stimulation. He claimed this was what happened on the bus.

Two experts, a psychiatrist and a urologist, who examined him, testified that this was possible. (See report on facing page.)

Crowded

The disturbance on the bus happened at about 9.30pm on 14 Sep, 2006.

The court heard that Chong boarded it at NUS and stood next to the woman, who was sitting along the aisle.

The seats on both sides of the bus were elevated. Because of this, his crotch was level with her thigh.

He was wearing a T-shirt and a pair of shorts. He had a haversack with him and was holding his jacket in his left hand at waist level.

The woman said that as the bus got more crowded, Chong moved closer to her, so much so that she could hear him breathing.

She then felt a warm object on her right thigh and a wet sensation later on.

She suspected that it was Chong’s private parts. But she could not see what it was because it was blocked by his jacket.

When the bus reached a stop, she stood up and asked him: “What did you do on my leg?”

She then snatched his jacket and slapped him, causing his glasses to fall off.

He asked her if they could talk outside the bus. So when the doors opened, she got off, followed by Chong.

Her male friend, who was on the same bus, got off at the same stop to assist her.

She said that Chong asked her if there had been a misunderstanding, and if he had stepped on her feet.

The woman told the court that she had not seen Chong exposing himself.

But she said that after they alighted, Chong had offered to let her look in his bag.

She found some CDs and a plastic bottle of water, which was not warm and had not leaked.

As such, her conclusion was that those items could not have caused the warm sensation that she had felt on her thigh.

She was still furious and hit Chong a few times before she was pulled away by her friend.

That was when her friend noticed wet spots on Chong’s jacket. He took it, smelled it and realised it was semen.

Her friend then told Chong: “This is yours, right? We are all men, you should know what this is.”

The woman claimed Chong apologised and told her he would not do it again. She then called the police.

But was it possible that Chong’s semen ended up on the woman’s thigh after she snatched his jacket from him on the bus?

She told the court that she had grabbed it with her right hand, and the jacket had come into contact with her left hand, causing it to feel wet. She then wiped it with the jacket.

She insisted she did not touch her thigh with her hands because she felt they were dirty.

In his defence, Chong said that he realised he had ejaculated only when the woman’s friend commented about the wet spots on his jacket.

He said it had happened twice before, when he woke up in the morning and when he was queuing at an ATM. There was no mention of when the two incidents occurred.

Chong denied brushing himself against the woman’s thigh.

He said that he would have to untie the string on his waistband to expose his private parts, which was a difficult task on a crowded bus.

‘Untruthful’

How did his jacket become stained with semen then?

Chong explained that it was because the legs of his shorts were loose and part of his jacket was hanging below the seam of his shorts.

But District Judge Jill Tan said she found Chong to be an untruthful and unconvincing witness.

He had a ready answer for every question that was put to him, and she found his evidence to be too detailed and well-explained at every turn, such that it seemed rehearsed.

She pointed out how Chong had recalled shifting around his haversack on the bus. But this seemed to be his attempt to show that what the woman had felt was his haversack and not his private parts.

The judge also said that the crux of the case was whether Chong had brushed his penis against the woman.

As for Chong’s medical condition of spontaneous ejaculation, it was a “secondary issue”.

The judge said that even if the accused had a spontaneous ejaculation, there was no reason for him to brush his penis against the victim’s thigh.

It was not Chong’s first brush with the law.

In 2002, he was jailed 15 months’ and given three strokes of the cane, also for outrage of modesty.

Chong, who was 21 then, had been teaching two girls, aged 13 and 14, to play the drums. During the lesson, he placed his penis in their left hand, which he had earlier told them to put behind their back.

Chong continued with his studies at NUS after his release from prison.

In his mitigation, Chong’s lawyer, Mr Ravinderpal Singh, asked the court to impose a minimal sentence without caning.

He said that the victim was not a minor. He added that Chong had done volunteer work with ex-offenders and had also participated in various community projects.

For outrage of modesty, Chong could have been jailed two years and caned.

CHONG Weien was diagnosed as suffering from spontaneous ejaculation by two doctors.

One of them, Dr Lionel Lim, a consultant psychiatrist, told the court that it was an uncommon but recognised medical condition.

He saw Chong but did not conduct a physical examination on him.

But, based on Chong’s previous medical reports, Dr Lim’s opinion was that he was sexually aroused easily.

Those reports stated that Chong had ejaculated without physical stimulation while being examined.

Dr Lim added that the condition is a sexual dysfunction.

Dr Joe Lee, a urologist at the National University Hospital, also took the stand.

He had given Chong a body checkup but said he was unable to comment on the amount of stimulation Chong needed to ejaculate.

He added that sufferers have poor control over their ejaculation, which can happen with just a light touch or an urgency to urinate.

After 4 Mths...

I still remember yrs ago, after every 3 mths or so, I'll have a break... A wk long in [Mar], a mth long in [Jun], another wk of hols in [Sep] before the major 2 mth long [Nov], [Dec] break...

Yep, tt's yrs ago when I was in sec sch and JC... The ancient time where you need complex formulas and precise punching of the scientfic calculator to do statistical problems and sketching transformation graphs of a f(x) + b and f(ax + b) gives you marks...

Now, a mere punching of numbers into the GRAPHICAL CALCULATOR will solve almost everything, including finding correlations and regressions... Haiz... Even though I'm not tt old, the exposure to different technology makes me feel like I'm from the dinosaur age or something... *Sigh*

I think it's time I should @ least learn how to use the graphical calculator... Would anyone be kind enough to lend it and teach me how to use it??? *Pleading look*

Oh well, the recess wk has finally arrived and I'm able to save a little on traveling expenses for the next 5 days or so... And tt's all the rejoicing I'll be doing... I seriously must force myself to not indulge too much in unproductive (read = [Facebook]) activities... Rather, I must have the mentality of 'work comes before play'...

[DSC2003], [ST1131A] and [BSP1005] tutorials shouldn't be a problem... It's the whole revising for the mods tt's making me feeling a little anxious, which I understand tt it's kinda irrational... Could it be due to the fear of being brain dead and tt this time I'll be competing with a whole bunch of other, more smarter ppl??? Again, tt reasoning's sort of flawed as during the [Special Sem], I'm already pitting myself against smarter, more senior ppl...

Great, this deduction simply implies tt the source of my jitterness is unknown...

Which leads me to today's [Marketing] survey which I've to do... To put it simply, the students are used as subjects to collect data for some graduate students who're doing market research... Today's survey requires me to 1st do 5 [Maths] qus and I guess it's the paranoia of holding everyone up tt I couldn't solve some simply pri sch [Maths] qus... I ended up mis-reading the qus and giving the wrong ans for one and couldn't solve a simple simultaneous equations...

The paranoia tt I'm habouring with regards to how others are viewing me is getting out of hand... I just hope I'm able to get a grip on myself before I go schizo...

Anyway, since I'm on the whole [Marketing] subject, I might as well continue with the story on how I busted my chance on getting some class participation marks during today's tutorial... There's a pop quiz to help ppl who are shy and early to score some marks... I'm the shy and early ppl... However, I did the dumbest, stupidest, moronic thing ever... I didn't prepare for the tutorial and hence couldn't answer the pop quiz questions... Or to be exavt, I did write some stuff down, but it's clear from the answers tt I didn't prepare AT ALL...

Yep, so the bottom line here is to complete the harder, more demanding tutorials during the hols, like the 2 [GEK1527] assignments and [MKT1003] assignment... On top of tt, I'll still have to prepare for a project on the latter mod as well as to mug for my mid-term tests... If the seniors say it's impt, it's impt... Heck, which test isn't impt in history?!

Maybe the constant thought to mantain my CAP is causing me undue stress... Whatever the case, this wk long break is meant for 80% work, 20% play... =D

There's No More Time...

Woah, I realised tt as I logged into this webby, the contents of what I initially wanted to type just disappeared into thin air... It's as if the mere sight of this webpage drives the thoughts and ideas away...

Well, tt's highly unlikely as I'm dedicated to mantain this blog just as I would keep a tight grip on my innocence, never giving them up... LOL... Well, the not many would agree on the whole 'innocence' part, so perhaps I should've mentioned tt I'll continue blogging just as I would gaming on [MapleStory], huh... Haha...

Yep, I've sort of gone back to playing [MapleStory] after all... Though [MJ] just tempted me to do [Dragonica] too and it's a losing battle for me to even try to resist, so I did install the game client only to find tt I've lost touch with what I've been doing with my previous char... Haha... And the only natural thing tt I'll do is to restart the character all over again... God knows how many times I've done this already...

I tried playing the game on my laptop and it's a little laggy, though I couldn't identify whether it's the connect fault or the graphics tt's @ fault... Well, I;ll try the game for a couple more while when I've the time to determine whether the problem persists... It's no fun playing the game when the graphics aren't moving smoothly, with the gameplay being interrupted with the occassional jerky movement... It totally spoils the fun...

Thank goodness [MapleStory] and [Audition] are still good to go... Though the bottom-line here should be tt I shouldn't be playing so much... Or be limiting the stuff I'm playing and actually start to study as the scary (tt's the feeling I got from the seniors', not my own) mid-terms are just around the corner...

Studying and completing my tutorials on time... Time to learn the following all-impt skills - time management and multi-tasking... =S

Anyway, @ least I didn't forget abt the most impt thing tt I wanna blog abt, which was my trip to [Ion Orchard]'s [Swensen's] for the long-awaited 1-for-1 ice-cream buffet... I jio-ed [YH] along and we met @ 11 am, in [Orchard MRT Stn]... LOL... I finally managed to try having ice-cream and all things sweet for lunch... And it's a good exp indeed as there're quite a number of ice-cream flavours for you to choose from as well as the variety of toppings tt you can add to your ice-cream is astounding... Atap seeds, strawberry, mango syrup, cherries, pineapples, lychee, oreo cookies, a wide selection of nuts, cerals, chocolate fudge, melted marshmellow, etc...

Seriously, I think if I were to eat only the toppings and nth else, I'll still be filled...

Apart from the normal ice-cream, of which you can select 5 flavours per servings, you can also get the staff to create your very own mix of ice-cream flavour as they mix and 'fry' the ice-cream on those frozen 'hot' plate... Haha... And i overheard one of the staff saying tt it's like making 'muah-chee'... =P

There's obviously more to it than merely ice-cream... They do have waffles as well and how you want to eat your waffles, tt's up to your imaginations... You can eat it plain, go together with ice-cream or in my case, go with the toppings... LOL... Come to think of it now, you can also eat waffles with whipped cream... Yes, the cream is self-service so you can help yourself to as much as you like, though the 2 of us didn't really touch the cream @ all... It's fattening... As if whatever we're eating ain't fattening @ all... Haha... -_-"'

Fondue fountain... There're 2 of them, one spilling white chocolate, the other normal dark chocolate... It's the 1st time tt I'm seeing an actual chocolate fondue fountain and I'm totally amused over it... And behaving like a totaly kid, marvelling @ all the stuff tt's on display...

Yep, I had fun all right, and after spending 3 hrs eating and chatting, I'm stuffed and perhaps I've also gotten 15 yrs of my life sheared off from consuming all those teeth-decaying food...

[YH] got a bear balloon from the [Swensen's] staff and she's a complete meanie as we toured a little of [Ion Orchard] as she was waving the bear @ cute toddlers, tempting them with the balloon and in my opinion, giving them the false impression tt she's gonna give them a similar balloon, but wasn't really in reality...

However, the toddlers don't feel tt way... Rather, they seemed rather amused and happy to see a balloon being waved in front of them and not being able to have it @ all... LOL...

We also saw a 4 cute male promoters doing some advertising for some facial product by having 2 of those cuties staying inside a glass cubicle tt's also housing a skeleton and waving idiotically @ passer-bys... I was just being my typical self and ogling @ those cuties and wasn't paying much attention to whatever the store's name was... Haha...

I'm desperate and totally not ashamed to show it...

The other thing I'm not ashamed to announce to the whole world was tt both [YH] and I were terrible @ navigating around tt huge shopping mall and we ended up almost getting lost... 1st by walking unknowingly to [Wheelock Place] and later by having difficulty finding the way back to the MRT stn... Zzz... -_-"'

Overall, it's a good experience and I'll definitely head back to [Swensen's] for tt buffet again in the near future...

It's time to get back to the reality - tutorials and mid-terms... OMG!!!

Green On Earth Cafe...

I couldn't recall who was the one who suggested tt [The Gang] to have a mthly gathering... It's an excellent way to bond and keep in touch... Which is why I was kinda excited over yesterday's meeting despite it being held @ a vegetarian cafe - [Green On Earth Cafe] - located in [Beauty World Centre]...

I'm not a huge fan of the shopping centres found along tt area for it has tt ancient kinda, as if only old ppl will visit tt place... The only reason I'm stepping foot into tt area is because of the prata shop just across the road as well as the realisation tt [Udders]'s located somewhere in tt area too... Hmmm... Perhaps on my next trip to feast on the exotic pratas, I'll grab a couple of scoops of ice-cream before heading back home then... Yum... =P

Anyway, I was kinda early and if I had known tt [SH] was there and eating ice-cream, I wouldn't have been tt bored for 30 mins as I waited for the rest to arrive... LOL... From the sound of tt, anyone can tell tt I'm long overdue for my ice-cream fix, which is projected to take place next weekend provided tt [YH] is able to make it... Haiz...

I was abt to curse myself for not bringing [Digital Life] or [Mind Your Body] for the nth time when I finally spotted the group arriving from [JP], as well as [SH]... And so my trigger happy instincts kicked in @ high gear...

When the dish was served, I was kinda skeptical over the taste, fearing tt the nugget-shaped like food was filled with those disgusting veg... Yet when I took a bite out of it, I could hardly feel any veg texture or taste for tt matter... In fact, it's actually delicious!!! Haha... =)

The choices are hard to make as everything seems nice, eh??? Haha...

Arrival of 2nd b-day girl...

After most of us placed an order for our individual main dish, we took a group pic 1st as [Bec] has to rush off to attend a concert with her friend down @ [Woodlands]... It was kinda short for her case, but not to worry!!! There's always the next mth to look forward to... *Grins*

As I took my lunch @ abt 1500 hrs, I wasn't really hungry, which was a good thing considering tt everything on the menu has vegs on it, like DUH, except the desserts... So I simply ordered the [Home-Made Blueberry Yogurt], which turns out to be quite ordinary anyway...

When the pizzas were served, I decided to give it a shot and again, I couldn't detect any veg, despite me ingesting some pizza tt's topped with tofu and some other unknown stuff tt's definitely not meat... LOL...

Well, with the main course over, it's finally time for the cake-cutting process!!!

OMG!!! It's been like forever since I've last seen this [Compose] page in [Blogger.com]!!! And I've to thank [MJ] for helping me get this page back... For 3 wks or so, which is long enough, I've been staring @ the faulty page which seems to be a black hole tt sucks my inspiration away... It's as if my muse was being chased off by tt hideous mess-up page tt has no colours and only allows you to key in your entries using HTML codes only...

Well, once again, [MJ]!!! Arigato!!! ^_^

LOL... Though if I actually make an effort to search for the solutions online, I might chance upon it one day too... The only problem here is tt I'm totally inept when it comes to digging for information online... I'm the kind tt needs the answers presented to me, a.k.a be spoonfeed... If I'm to search for stuff by clicking on all the possible links... Ho-ho... You can wait till the cows come home and I've yet to find the solutions to the prob @ hand... Gee... -_-"'

Now, on to the crux of this entry... [MKT1003] tutorial...

For the benefit of everyone who isn't in [NUS Business School] (which is everyone who actually reads this blog), it's my [Principles Of Marketing] module... My 1st tutorial starts today and I had the thought tt it'll be like any ordinary tutorials which I've been to...

Barely 45 mins into the tutorial, I was proven wrong...

Unlike [SSA2219], which is my [Singapore Studies] mod, attendance and a little bit of class participation will give you tt 5% of your total grade for tt module... Besides, each and everyone of us were forced to talk in class and to do a little presentation, so, there's not a choice and it's as if the tutor is forcing you to get tt 5%, whether you want it or not...

[MKT1003] on the other hand, is a free-for-all kinda thing... If you've something to say, then all you have to do is to raise your hand and voice out your opinions... And this is totally to my disadvantage as I don't really have much opinions @ all when I'm tossed with questions with NO DEFINITE answers, which is what this whole mod is all abt... As long as your opinions make sense, it's acceptable... In other words, as long as you're innovative, able to process stuff quickly and voice them out just as fast - all qualities which I'm seriously lacking - you'll do well in the mod...

The next thing I realised barely 1 hr into the tutorial is tt of the 30 ppl in the class, 13 are seniors, be it from [Biz] or from other facs... I didn't understand the significance of it until they started to voice out their opinions NONSTOP... Hell, they just seem happy to talk and not bother to take any notes of what others are saying... Maybe they're multi-tasking - yet another life skill I'm lacking in, or maybe it's because it's a social science mod and everything counts as long as it makes sense or maybe they already know whatever everyone else's talking abt... Anyway, the point is THEY KEEP TALKING!!! And I caught the tutor furiously scribbling stuff on the piece of paper tt she's holding, no doubt recording how wonderful those ppl are performing and how much class participation marks they should be awarded...

CRAPTASTIC... Both me and alum groupmate feels so SCREWED UP when the tutorial is finally over...

Craptastic... It seems like the whole [Blogger.com] is still as messed-up... I'm beginning to doubt if I should ever place hope in the situation ever improving... Nonetheless, as long as I can still type my entry, I'll just have to make the best out of this lousy situation... BAH~!!!

With the tutorials coming in faster than I can clear them, it kinda spells trouble for me if I don't increase my efficiency, which is why instead of moaning the inability to construct graphs for my [ST1131A] tutorial using [Excel], I actually went to sch on a [Wed] - when I've no classes @ all - to use the [MiniTab] statistical software to complete my assignment... The alternative is to manually do everything, including calculating the standard deviation... But I'm not tt much of an idiot to waste tt precious time if I can get those info with just a few mouse clicks...

After completing tt task, I was supposed to join [MJ] and [YQ] for a certain dance audition, but I chickened out @ the last min despite me giving them my words tt I'll join them... It's mean, I know... But I just couldn't ignore the flight instinct...

Anyway, after the gals were done with the audition, [MJ] and I headed back to [Lot 1] for dinner before she accompanied me to [Bata] as a consultant in my quest to purchase a new pair of shoes... And I've to really thank her for having the patience to comment and bear with me as I was taking a hell long of a time to decide which pair of shoes suit me... Hmmm... Perhaps this can be explained by the fact tt I haven't bought any shoes for close to 5 yrs already... LOL...

And I didn't bring enough cash even though I know I'll be buying shoes on tt day... How lame!!! As a result, I've no choice but to use my cards, which I try my best not to touch... It's still better not to have the bad habit to always rely on cards...

LOL... Well, enough harping on the whole shoes sage... I've bought 1 pair and I'm now left with the decision on what sports shoes to wear, which is an easier decision... HAHA!!!

*Sigh* I've no probs with my parents signing up to [Facebook], it's only natural tt they'll want to join the hype, despite it having died down a little... However, I do have a prob the moment they start commenting tt I should change my display pic and stuff... Like, HELLO?! Who's pic is it anyway??? Zzz...

And it seems like both my parents are nosiy computer users... They couldn't keep quiet while using the computer, constantly having the need to make some sounds or comment abt something... Sheesh!!! All the noise is making me lose my inspiration when it comes to blogging...

Time Is My Limited Resources...

Well, after I'm done with the previous entry, I'm feeling kinda guilty... I've this nagging feeling tt the previous post wasn't really tt well done and tt there was the lingering touch of me rushing through the post... Which to some extend, I was thanks to my attempt to multi-task which severely reduces my efficiency level...

I'm working on the prob @!!! Haha... Of course, whether I'm able to overcome this problem of min is a whole new issue by itself... In fact, as I'm typing this entry, I'm trying to do more than just blogging by chatting with a friend of mine simultaneously... Despite his being not tt responsive, it's still counted as multi-tasking anyway...

Zzz... Enough yakking on abt nonsense, I know... Well, I'm feeling kinda agitated lately, which takes a toll on my quality of life... With parents constantly monitoring what I'm doing online, it's seriously stressful to stay online for long or to even attempt to use the laptop... It's definitely not fun whenever someone walks in on you playing [Restaurant City] and assumes tt you've been gaming and tt $2.5k have been used only for tt sole purpose... It's even more stressful when the comment made every single time said adult walks into my room when I'm using the computer, be it me on [RC] or merely watching [Tales Of The Abyss]...

Neither did I recall said parent saying those similar comments to my sis when she's watching [Boys Over Flowers] a couple of mths back and have the [MSN] chat window constantly on...

It seems like there's selective sight going around here, where only the bad stuff are sighted... Dssatisfaction seems like an understatement all of sudden... =S

On the other hand though, I do concede tt I shouldn't be on the laptop this often and should bury my head not only in my tutorials, but in the reference texts which I've spent $63 to purchase... The only problem here is tt I'm totally lacking in self-determination to read those stuff other than the lecture notes and this brings on yet another wave of guilt as I'm supposed to be studying harder than the current situation...

From [MJ]'s latest entry dated 23 Aug, it seems to be tt she has been rather successful @ being productive and [XP]'s taking 6 modules so she's forced to be productive... [YH] and [Sis] re mugging like made for their exams... Everyone seems to be rather hardworking except me, who has only completed 2 tutorials, leaving 2 other tutorials and 1 assignment left undone... And here I am, still have the audacity to tend to my farms and restaurant as well as blog...

Now I'm disgusted with myself...

Plus I still need to find time to exercise... Tt nagging vision of a bloated version of myself bumping into [Soon Leng] is positively unpleasant... Can walking 15 mins a day for 4 days a wk be counted as exercise??? I intend to incorporate this tiny routine in my trip to sch... Not only do I save on a bus trip from my home to the interchange, I don't have to reserve additional time for this exercise activity...

I'm keeping my finger crossed tt walking can be counted as some form of exercise... If not, I'll better start hunting for ppl to accompany me to the sch's gym after I've checked tt place out...

*Sigh* It seems like the sch's recommendation of an anti-virus software - [TrendMicro] - is simply too good of a software... 3 trojans were found in the [Cabal] game client after I've DL-ed it and tried to install the game, which means tt I can't even launch the game, let alone play it... Just when I've finally decided to continue the game to uncover the story behind the whole [Cabal] saga as well as to explore the additional maps... ... I've yet to test out those dungeon training cards too!!! Zzz... =S

As an alternative, I'm playing [MapleStory] once again... With the new [Ep. 2] and it's additional goodies, I'll be kept occupied... Besides, I've yet to actually obtain [Deed To THe Land] from those nasty [Curse Eyes]... LOL... Those pesky monsters simply refuse to drop tt frigging item!!! -_-"'

I hate to admit, but I'm all of 21 now and I should have the good sense to actually quit playing all these online games... However, I'm seriously resisting the whole growing-up process... I'm determined to remain as childish as I am...

STGCC 09 & G.I Joe...

I've absolutely no idea what's wrong... 1st [FaceBook] decides to screw up on me with the page loading all wrong for a couple of days... Then when the problem seems to be magically resolved, [Blogger] gets more screwed up than it already was for the previous few time tt I've actually log on to do some blogging... I'm now able to do some formatting w/o spewing all kinda HTML codes... Yet the page seems to be loaded all wrong, with the links all jumbled up and stuff... Zzz... -_-"'

Can't everything be alright like in the past??? Sheesh!!! =S

With all the hype abt [G.I Joe] ever since the move hit the theaters, I couldn't resist but to have a go @ it too to, esp after I've seen the ads on TV with the special effects... Eager to get it over and done with and not wait till I'm able to use my last [Shaw] complimentary pass, I watched the movie on [Wed] and I'm not dissappointed, just not tt impressed... Don't get me wrong... The effects are superb... It's just tt the camera seems to be a little jerk when the action scenes gets a little intense, causing me not to be able to understand what's really going on @ some pt in the movie...

Mind you, overall, I still more or less get the idea of what the movie's all abt... I'm after all, not tt dumb... =D

Once the movie's over, I stopped by [Bata] to test out some shoes and hopefully, to be able to find a pair or 2 which I'll fall in love with... It's long overdue tt I should buy a few pairs of new shoes as both my sneakers are already in their CMI states...

Ho-ho... Obviously, with me shopping alone, I'm unable to get any second opinions, which is why after trying a few pairs, I couldn't make up my mind of what to buy and hence postponed the purchase to a later date, probably within the wk... LOL... Well, tt's my shopping pattern... I'll look @ a certain stuff, consider it over a period of time, all the while re-visiting the shop for a couple more times before actually deciding to buy it after getting a few other opinions...

I'm such an indecisive shopper... =D

Anyway, the whole purpose of this entry is actually to announce tt I've actually attended the [Singapore Toy Games & Comics Convention 2009] last [Sun]... It's only the 2nd time in which the convention is being held here and comparing the experience which I've had last yr and a couple of days ago, I'd say tt this yr's so much bigger and better...

The [Cos-Con] competition seems to have garnered much more contestants and some of them are simply just too awesome... What's with the elaborate costumes as well as the portrayal of the character's attitude... Furthermore, there's no more of those hilarious 'I'm from Singapore' kinda answers...

[XP] was with me as we toured the convention and I was the trigger happy dude who couldn't resist snapping pics wherever I went and a cosplayer pops out of nowhere... I would gladly post almost all of the pics - a good 100 of them - here, but seeing tt the darn [Blogger] is so screwed up and I can't preview the pics to arrange the order, I'm feeling kinda bummed cause I couldn't share the joy with everyone...

The Attack Of The Sotong King...

The day after [National Day] is a public holiday and I fully intended to chill out @ home, get [YulgangOnline] installed on my laptop and spend a couple of hrs test running the game and see how it beautifully it runs on it... Not to mention cover a few more chapters on my vampire romance novel...

Instead, I spent the whole afternoon down @ [Orchard Road], exploring the whole of [Orchard Central] (OC) all by myself before meeting my OG mates for a movie... However, the main focus is still the new OC mall with it's 2 express escalators outside the mall and one within... So the 1st thing I did upon arriving @ OC was to ride the escalators all the way to the 8th floor, all the while enjoying the trip there and marveling @ the view as I get higher... LOL...

Though the view wasn't tt scenic... It's all concrete... -_-"'

I started walking from the top floor down and I spent abt 4 hrs touring the whole mall... And I did come across some interesting stuff too... Like there're comfy chairs located on certain levels for the patrons to sit and relax... Read a novel, chat with friends or simply to ppl watch all you want... Though falling asleep on them seems a little out of place... I mean, if you wanna sleep, might as well just do it @ home, right??? Haha...

The mall also allow ppl to do some indoor rock climbing, for a price of course... If you've read abt it in the papers, you'll know the hype abt it is on the whole rock climbing using the iron rungs thingy, which both [XP] and I feel tt climbing it is really easy and perhaps, it's a waste of hard earn cash... Maybe it only seems easy, I don't know, as the climbers seems to be spending a hell lotta time climbing those iron rungs...

And the last thing tt caught my eyes was a shop tt sells some kind bear figurines from [Bad Taste Bears] collection... It's totally OMG-la material and it's kinda amusing to look @ the various poses the bears have...

The mall also has 2 sets of lifts... One stops @ every floor while the other is an express version tt stops only @ certain levels... The doors to the lifts are all transparent and tt's kinda freaky esp for blur ppl like me... I might just wrongly assume tt the door's open when it's not and smack myself silly or if there's a technical glitch and the door's open but the lift's not there, some unsuspecting blur sotong might fall to their death... Okay, so the latter seems so [Final Destination], but hey, there's always tt possibility there... =D

Half-way through my touring of the mall, @ abt 3 pm, I received an SMS informing me tt the movie outing has been changed to a dinner meet up instead @ [Fish & Co], which caused me to be totally sian diao as this means tt I've an additional 3 mor ehrs to kill before the meet up... So I decided to teleport myself all the way to [PS] just to check if there's any chance tt I could catch [G.I Joe] alone... I wanna watch and if there's no one watching it with me, tt's not stopping me... However, what stopped me from watching it is the horrendous queue for tickets and the sad fact tt the ticket for the 1640 hrs show has been sold-out...

With not a choice left, I headed back to OC to continue my window shopping as well as to waste yet another 3 hrs of my life... Really, by tt then, I was seriously considering calling it quits and making my way back home... Why I stayed on is perhaps yet another wrong decision which I made...

Dinner with OG mates feels like dinner with strangers... No matter who's chatting with me, the conversation will inadvertently be directed back to sch-related stuff and tt's just plain boring... Crap and screw it... The whole class thing is driving me nuts...

I'm going to push this to the back of my mind and pretend tt no such thing existed...

Before I sign off, I did a totally idiotic thing on [MSN]... For some reason, I freaking mistook [MJ]'s nick for [XP] and I didn't realise the blunder throughout the whole conversation which lasted for like 90 complete mins or so... I only know what a dodo I was when she gave me her matric no.... GAWD!!! Tt's downright embarrassing!!!

Luxkily it's someone from [The Gang]... Phew!!! Haha... =D

Feeling Crappy...

School's starting in a couple of days' time and before the start of tt, there's always the orientation program to help the newbies to familiarise themselves with the campus and all... To some extend, it's helpful as we've been taking the shuttle bus and zooming all over sch, except to the [Faculty Of Science], [FASS] and [School Of Computing]...

Furthermore, most of the time was spent on games and other bo-liao activities tt supposedly will help us bond as an orientation group (OG)... Which I've absolutely no interest in whatsoever, which brings me to this whole whining session of why I even register for this orientation in the 1st place and paid $50 in total tt consisted only of 3 meals, an orientation tee, a clan singlet (which I'll never wear unless hell freezes over) and a mask for the masquerade party which I've decided not to attend @ the last min for reasons which I'll elaborate later...

On the 1st day of the orientation, the freshies were told to dressed up in their office attire and get to sch by 0730 hrs... So I did just tt, just tt I ended up being late by a couple of mins and decided instead to gather in the [School Of Business], I might as well just meet everyone @ the [University Cultural Centre] (UCC) instead as I don't have to make so many detours... So both [MJ] and I were waiting @ the [UCC] until my OGL called and told me tt the [Freshmen Inauguration Ceremony] (FIC) will start @ 0830 hrs instead, and I should just head to LT18 after all... Zzz... Really, if it's starting so late, why get us gathered so early??? Anyway, the worse for the day has yet to come...

So after I got to the LT, I stoned a little while listening to the guys trying to do some small talk while the gals were practically a collective entity already... As usual, I couldn't think of any interesting topics, so I merely kept my trap shut... When it's the time to move off for the [FIC], there was an announcement informing us tt our clan could attend the event as there're insufficient tickets... Each sch was only given 300 tix, so it's just too bad... However, before I could actually get out of my formal attire, it appears tt there're still a few more vacancies left and I immediately grabbed tt chance to visit the [UCC]... Hey, you can't expect me to wear my forma attire for nth, right???

A few freshies dozed off during the ceremony which consisted of a couple of performances as well as 2 talks, one by the president of [NUS] and the other by the president of the [NUS Student Union]... I couldn't fall asleep as tt's not within my ability...

There's a mini-buffet after tt, but I didn't eat much as most of the stuff there contains veggies... Found [MJ] after some searching despite her height as she's wearing a white top which is very common... Wondered why so many ppl have tt impression tt 'office wear' equates a black and white combination... Then again, I couldn't care more as colour combinations are so outta my league...

I got back to [School Of Business], changed into something comfy and joined my OG for some light-hearted ice-breakers before getting my 1st free lunch as well as entering some daytime nightmare...

I'm not tt disturbed over pairing up with another gal or guy... What totally freaks me out are the games tt requires me to get wet and dirty or a combination of both, like [Dirty Musical Chair]... As if having flour over my body isn't bad enough, they have to add water on the flour tt's on the chair and you're expected to sit on it... How yucky is tt?!?!

Which is why I deliberately chose to get eliminated during the 2nd round... The faster I got out of tt game, the better for me...

I decided to leave after all tt nonsense was done and by then, it's already like close to 1900 hrs... So I met up with [MJ] for dinner @ [Subway] before heading home... In addition, the trip to [Subway] wasn't a safe one as as I was exiting LT19 with [MJ], I didn't see the bench tt's right next to the exit and freaking kicked on it, hard... I didn't get a bruise, but a skin tear tt's freaking painful and the wound refuses to stop bleeding... Even after 3 days, it's still a ugly sight to behold... Yucks...

The meal went fine, just not the trip to the 188 bus stop... Street lighting was like non-existent around the area where the [Kent Ridge Terminal] was located and if not for the presence of [MJ] who helped to guide me, I'll probably fall into some drain and hurt myself yet again... Sheesh!!!

Day 2 of orientation was even worse as our OG ended up doing the [Rag] activity instead of [Flag]... Instead of moving around the little red dot sourcing for donations, I was trapped in sch doing arts and craft... So after the lunch break, I pulled off a [Houdini] and went to the [Central Library] for some bidding research before getting my early dinner @ [Burger King] and leaving straight for home...

It's only on tt day itself tt I realised tt there's a [BK] in the [FASS] canteen... How slow can I get???

Then for yesterday's orientation, it zettai was a waste of time... I went to sch just to listen to some talks before getting an hr break where our OG did play another game to kill the time... Then, we went to the big field just to have a telematch, an activity which I conveniently skipped on the basis of my injury...

As a result of tt, I was guarding the belongings while stoning @ the same time, all the while envying [MJ] who's @ home enjoying her game of [Audition]...

Had my free dinner before everyone went back to the [School Of Business] for their night walk briefing... But before tt, 3 videos of [Kumar] in drag was played to keep us entertained and I stayed for tt 3 vids before deciding to call it a day...

It's only then tt I got [MJ] to check the result of my bidding and I found out the freaking bad news of me being outbidded by a mere 19 pts!!! WTH?! If I didn't listen to my OGLs and had followed my gut instincts to increase my bid pts to 150, I would've gotten the frigging [Introduction To Computing] mod... As a result of tt folly, I've now gotta resort to my next plan and even tt's impossible now as the demand is way above the supply, meaning tt the bid pts for [Heavenly Mathematics: Cultural Astronomy]'s gonna cost a bomb... If I bidded for tt previously, I would've gotten it for like 1 pt... Now, tt's outta the question already...

Of course, seeing tt I've already taken 2 mods during the [Special Sem], I could take 4 mods this smemester and it won't slow me down... But I'd rather have the lesser workload @ the later part of my undergraduate yrs... For now, I'll stick to 5 mods per sem...

I've no choice but to listen to [XP] and try out [Genes And Society]... If she can get an A- by sleeping throughout the lecture, I don't see why I couldn't score as well, or even better... Haha...

I just pray tt I'll be successful this time round...

*Sigh* After all the agony of my not getting the mod, I've lost the mood to attend the masquerade party tonight... Not tt I'm feeling bad or anything abt it... After all, the thought of wearing a mask over my specs to eat and converse is gonna be freaking uncomfortable... Not only tt, I've heard news tt the party's just a cover for some spd dating activity... Online dating, I don't mind as I can access [Facebook]... But real-life spd dating??? Just kill me la... It's a complete waste of time for me lor... -_-"'

Prelude To A Week Long Nightmare...

Looks like [Blogger]'s still not recovered from whatever probs it's been inflicted with, rendering me to type my entry using HTML codes... LOL... Once again, I'm complaining for the fun of it as in actual fact, I don't really have to do much coding when I'm typing my entries as I'm using just using lots of words and a few occasional pics here and there... Such stuff are no biggie for me as [PhotoBucket] and [YouTube] helps to generate the codes for ease of sharing... Furthermore, I do know a little bid of HTML coding, what's with [NeoPets] in the past and changing blogskins for abt 5 times now...

1st thing 1st... Remember a couple of wks ago, I was still freaking out over my [QET]??? I was getting the jitters as I'm having this nagging fear tt [NS] has killed my [English] and my blogging in [English] isn't helping my standards anyway, as [XP] would attest to it by spotting the numerous grammatical errors in my SMS, [MSN] conversations and blog entries...

And things just got worse as on the day of the [QET] the essay topic was related to the mass media!!! It's totally OMG la as tt's one of the [GP] topic and I've totally destroyed the notes as well as whatever the teacher has taught me... Not to mention tt my friends threatened to pass on the msg to our [GP] tutor in the event tt I actually do fail the [QET], showing how I've let our tutor down and all...

It's kinda depressing and once again, I've tt urge to hide in some secluded corner for my harvesting of mushrooms...

So it's really a relieve when 3 days ago, as I checked my results in sch, I found out tt I've done well enough to be exempted from taking further [Eng] modules which not only are compulsory, but they don't provide modular credits... @ ALL... Furthermore, depending on how badly you screw up the [QET], you'll have to take a total of 2 of those pesky modules which not only will increase your workload, it might kill you if you wanna graduate in time or delay your graduation...

Anyway, I took a screenshot of my results... I'm sooooo proud of myself!!!



Anyway, to escape from the harsh reality of all the admin stuff tt I've to do so tt I won't screw up my uni life, I liken this phrase of my life to any other [MMORPG]s which you can find online... Kinda similar, if you really do a comparison... You, as a freshie, start off in a faculty and after a yr or 2, you have to select your specialisation before you graduate and land a job... Does tt sound like you having to choose which job class you want, and passing the job advancement test 2 times before you can continue on to be the strongest gamer in the game??? Haha...

Besides, loads of stuff have been happening again within this wk... Not only have I finally purchased my laptop, I've been spending more $$$ than I have in ages... Just take [Mon] for instance... I headed to sch in the morning just to buy my laptop, which meant tt I've to lunch in sch and what did I eat??? I had [MegaBites] for lunch instead of cheap, equally delicious canteen food just next to the cafe... Then on [Tue], knowing tt [SL] will be going to sch as well, I decided to join him for lunch and I ended up spending more $$$ again travelling to [Clementi] and this time, I spent $7 for a 7 inch pizza with a bowl of soup and garlic bread... Which is much better than my alternative choice of eating [Botak Jones]...

The point I'm trying to drive here is tt if I'm really hell bent on socialising and networking, I must prepare to spend a hell lot more than what I'm comfortable with and to drive home tt point, the darn [Biz] talk on [Thurs] was literally stressing the importance of networking and having lots of leadership qualities, blah, blah, blah...

You can't expect me to really pay 100% attention when I've to study for my MCQ test in the evening on the same day itself and with the talk stretching past my lunch time as well as the 2 pm which it was supposed to end... Zzz... Anyway, I missed out on the chance to meet up with my class as after all the adrenaline tt came from rushing to [Sci] and doing some last min information camping as well as the fact tt I'm starving from the lack of lunch, I've practically lost the mood to be nice as well as wait till god knows when before I can have dinner... I mean, you know how it is with friends... The dragging increases proportionally with the group size, which is why I'd rather head home for dinner... The faster I get stuff into my stomach, the faster I'm outta my crappy mode...

Surprisingly, even [SL] noticed tt orientation aren't my cup of tea... Not only tt, it's also incredibly sexiest... So what if there're too many gals already in the orientation program??? Shouldn't the exco like anticipate this problem considering the fact tt there're like 15% more gals in the faculty itself??? TO actually deprive the gals just because 'there're simply too many girls who have already signed up for orientation' is simply unfair... Must the sch really help to matchmake us??? Zzz... I think the answer is really obvious with the phrase 'finding your other half' popping out of the speakers' mouth every other few mins...

I'm totally disgusted... Wonder why I even bother with this week long nonsense in the 1st place... Whatever...

As usual, I'll end off this entry with a video... I was searching [YouTube] for the trailer for [Yulgang Online], the latest [MMORPG] tt [AsiaSoft] hs under it's belt... Gameplay's supposedly like [Cabal]... However, it's having the theme of [Chinese] martial arts... Anyway, like I've mentioned, I tried to find the trailer, but I ended up stumbling upon [Yulgang 2 Online] instead...



The trailer graphics' totally awesome and I bet [YH] will like the video as it resembles her fav [Dynasty Warriors]... LOL... ^_^

Adventure...

Ohmygosh... Unknowingly, it has already bee like 2 week since I've last done any blogging!!! With all tt's been happening - 2 outings, a term paper to complete and keeping track of stuff before sch officially starts - I've been truly preoccupied to actually find time to sit and stare @ the com for 2 hrs and allow the inspiration to flow to my fingers...

Indeed, trying to have a social life, mug and date my computer @ the same time... I'm really biting more than I can chew... Come on, you do know tt juggling 2 balls' simple... Tt's what I've been doing all this time... But to suddenly expect me to juggle 3 balls and to do it like a pro, it's on the brink of impossible... Not to mention tt what I'm juggling aren't balls of equal sizes... Imagine one's a bowling ball (you can easily guess what this represents), the other a tennis ball and the last one's a ping pong ball... It's downright impossible...

Anyway, now tt all the pics have been uploaded on everyone's [FaceBook]'s account, there's really no point in blogging abt those events... Rather, I should blog abt what happened today... I did mocked [XP] abt taking the wrong bus and all, but she got the last laugh today when I realised tt I myself took the wrong shuttle bus too... Unlike [XP], I didn't blindly take any bus tt comes, but I wrongly assumed tt shuttle bus [A1/A2]'s a loop service... I only found out when I arrived @ some god-forsaken area which I doubt I'll ever set foot, period... @ least it's the terminal and it's a free shuttle bus service, so I only lost time, not $$$ (thank goodness for tt)...

On a brighter note, I did learn a valuable lesson...

Moving on, I saw [XP] doing her promotion for her [Kendo] CCA and I also met up with [MJ] before she has to do her matriculation... I actually wanted to meet her for lunch @ [MegaBites], but tt plan was busted when I realised tt her freshie talk lasted till like 1400 hrs... And there's free food for her too!!! With cake!!! GAH!!! I so wanted to sneak into her freshie talk @ [LT17], but since it has already been like 1 hr into the talk, I couldn't just walk into the LT... Not with some ppl @ guarding the back entrance with what I noticed papers on a table... No doubt attendance sheets...

Anyway, [MJ] didn't eat the free food and socialise, but took the shuttle bus and met up with me... I initially wanted her to meet opposite [YIH]... Yet she missed the stop and I had to travel to the bus stop outside {UHC]... Zzz... SO much walking on foot... LOL... Don't get me wrong... I'm whining for the sake of whining only... I'm not complaining... Wait, I am complaining, but only for the long hrs standing w/o sitting... Pffftt... I've been on my foot for the whole afternoon... =_=

Okay, where was I??? Yep, before [MJ]'s matriculation... We went to have a look @ all the laptops on sale and gawd!!! [Fujitsu LifeBook S6520] is really a cool dude... It's anorexic but it's still possible to shave off a few more hundred grams by removing the DVD drive... And if you want it to last longer, replace the DVD drive with another bat pack, so tt's 2 bat pack cramped into the slim dude... Aaaannndddd the best part??? It's white!!! WHITE!!! GAH!!! *Goes crazy*

The down-side of it is it's high buy price... Almost $2.4+k, after considering the GST... *Sigh* Guess I'll take this weekend to think abt it before committing myself... Oh, OH!!! And the matric fair is damn unfair de lor... All the freebies and good offers are only available for a limited number of customers a.k.a while stock last throughout the whole fair... So for those ppl who matriculate early, such as ppl from [Biz], [Design] and [Computing] who went to the fair today, which is the 1st day, they'll totally benefit from it as they'll be able to get their hands on the freebies, unlike ppl who will be matriculate later, say [Eng] and [FASS]...

Then again, even if they have any inside info, they still can't buy the laptops as they don't have their student cards... LOL... Well, I can only say it's too bad lor... Haha... Surprisingly, I'm sadistically happy over this... *Shakes head*

Okay, before I indulge in [Dragonica] and contemplate whether I should sign up and install [Second Life], should I think abt taking up any CCAs??? Like in-line skating??? Or maybe taking up a part-time job @ the sch's [Munchy Monkey Cafe]??? We have to clock a min of 4 hrsa wk and it's only serving and clearing the food, I supposed and the pay's $5.50/hr... Plus point of this is tt instead of paying to waste my time, I'm actually earning some pocket money instead...

The [E-Gaming] club's also cool... LOL...

Ho-ho, and I almost forgot... After the trauma of my [Understanding The Universe] term paper and term test, I've to mentally prepare myself for yet another week-long nightmare - orientation...

What I'm trying to drive @ is the masquerade ball... It's so 'WTH?!' How on [Mother Nature] am I gonna produce a decent mask w/o looking really like a freak show??? And a mask is like so [Zorro] or [Phantom Of The Opera] lor... Ugh...

I can hardly stand today's not-so-crowded matric fair with ppl shoving paper into my face and my bumping into human beings... The thought of going through something much worse than tt in 2 wk's time is... ... I'm feeling queasy just thinking abt tt... =S

TGX 2009 - U R Game!!!

Several more steps were taken yesterday to move [Singapore] closer to the mitigation phase in dealing with the [H1N1] virus.

Last night, the [Ministry of Health] (MOH) siad it would no longer issue travel advisories to [Singaporeans]. It said such advisories had become less useful, as the risk of catching [H1N1], whether in an affected country or in [Singapore], is about equal.

Eventually, [MOH] will also drop the list of countries with confirmed victims, and those that have exported cases to [Singapore], as more countries have stopped reporting confirmed cases. For now, however, it will retain the list on its website.

[MOH] said many countries are no longer tracking the number of infections, or reporting them. A list of countries with reported confirmed cases would therefore be 'misleading', it said.

In announcing the moves, [MOH] said [H1N1] has become a global pandemic and is probably here to stay, like any other influenza strains. Thus, it said, managing the disease should be largely a matter of personal responsibility, stressing that [Singaporeans] should always observe good personal hygiene.

Also yesterday, the [Ministry of Education] (MOE) said schools will no longer require students or staff who have returned from affected countries to take leave of absence. Those currently on such leave will be told they can return to school from next week.

Students at institutions of higher learning will return to school on [Monday]. Primary, secondary and junior college students will return on [Tuesday], as the [Youth Day] holiday falls on [Monday].

[MOE] added, however, that schools will continue to stay vigilant and keep up precautionary measures to fight the spread of [H1N1]. It said regular temperature-taking and checks to spot those with flu symptoms will continue. Those who are unwell will be asked to seek medical attention and to rest at home.

Schools will also remind students about the importance of personal hygiene and social responsibility.

[MOE] said feedback from schools showed the precautionary measures taken in the past week to stop an outbreak of [H1N1] had been carried out smoothly.

Yesterday's announcements are the latest steps in [Singapore]'s moves to mitigate the effects of [H1N1], rather than contain the disease.

The steps were taken because the virus has spread rapidly within the community: The latest [MOH] tally shows 969 victims here, with 91 new cases confirmed yesterday.

Other moves taken this week include treating patients at polyclinics and certain private clinics called [Pandemic Preparedness Clinics] (PPCs).

Of the local cases confirmed yesterday, 21 were from 2 new clusters - the [National University Hospital] (NUH) had 5 and a tour group had the rest.

At [NUH], 2 doctors, 2 nurses and a patient contracted the bug, said a hospital spokesman.

She said the clinical staff caught the virus as they were not in high-risk areas and were thus not geared in full personal protective equipment. All are in stable condition, she said.

No details of the tour group cluster were produced.

Despite what was reported in the above-mentioned article, I shouldn't have left the confines of my house on [Sat] as I found out much, much later as the leave of absence is canceled for ppl who're returning from overseas... I could argue why I feel tt it's still okay to travel all the way to town, to [SunTec Convention Centre] to be exact, but doing so would be extremely time consuming and would make me sound tt I'm trying to justify an otherwise wrong action in my part...

The bottomline is, I'm still as healthy as I could possibly be and am no plague carrying monster... The mircobes have been kind to avoid me, it seems... LOL...

I gaev a call to [MJ] to ask her out and it's a good thing she's still able to join me in my cosplay hunt @ [TGX 09]... She was horrendously late in meeting up with me, but not for the cosplay event, which is all tt matters...

Turns out she still got the whole [SunTec] and [Expo] confused, thinking tt they're referring to the same thing and thus, she travelled all the way to [Changi Expo], just to read my SMS, telling her tt it's in [City Hall]... Gee... -_-"'

Realized tt there's a long queue!!! LOL... Okay, this is just another event tt's taking place somewhere on the 1st floor of [SunTec]... Thank goodness this wasn't the queue to enter [TGX 09] or I'll faint... Haha...

I knew abt the latter only after the guy @ the booth introduced the game to me... Haha... Okay, okay... So I'm still ignorant abt a lot of stuff, but this is what defines [~LeiLa~]... =P

Can't appreciate it as I haven't been playing tt game for quite some time already and I couldn't see what was really happening... The battleground was in utter chaos... Bah...



As you can see, the place isn't tt well lit IMO and it's not easy for me to navigate... But who cares??? The most important event is abt to take place!!!

The [Shana] impersonation competition tt's held by [Animax]!!!



There were a total of 9 contestants and the task seems simple... All they have to do is to dress up like [Shana] from [Shakugan no Shana], and act out a certain scene from the 2nd season before doing a pose for the camera wielding audience... Simple... NOT!!! It's not easy to really en-act the scenes as this is real-life... You can't pretend to get hit in the stomach, flew backwards in the air, do a somersault before landing in a crouching position and sticking the kantana in the gound to support you... You just can't... Nonetheless, I marvel @ the 8 of the contestants as they're all 1st time cosplayers... However, it's a pity tt no one decided to stand out by wearing a cloak... I betcha if someone wore a cloak, higher points would be awarded... I would!!!

*Sigh* All in all, I've a great time and attending this [TGX 09] is sufficient... In lieu of my upcoming tests, I've no choice but to stay @ home this weekend to do some mugging, thus giving [Cosfest VIII] a miss... Not to worry though, there's always the next yr to look forward to!!! *Grin* =D
