Alone... (Imported From Xanga)

Headed to [CauseWay Point] today all by myself to catch [Fantastic 4: Rise Of The Silver Surfer]... It's a nice movie... With decent amount of comical scenes here and there... 4 stars out of 5... Haha... I do like the [Human Torch]... Not tt he's good looking or anything... I like his abilities... Of course, the [Silver Surfer]'s powers' remarkable as well... And so is [Dr. Doom]'s... And [The Invisible Woman]... LOL... Tt's like practically everyone in the movie already... >_<

Anyway... I went there alone... It's not the 1st time tt I've gone to the movies by myself... If I didn't recall wrongly, the 1st time I started going to the movies alone was when [Mr. & Mrs. Smith] was screening in the cinemas... Tt's like quite some time ago and since then, I've no qualms abt it... Too dark??? Not a prob... Simply enter the cinema when it's still early and pick seats tt are easy to find... Not to forget to pick cinemas tt don't have too many steps as well, like those in [Jurong Entertainment Centre] and [JP]...

The next qus on everyone's mind will be, 'Why go alone???'... Some say it's pathetic as it's like a very miserable thing to do... I beg to differ... I can't find anyone to accompany me, so naturally, I decided tt tt's not going to deter me from catching the movie tt I really, really like... Hence, I went ahead with the plan... Moreover, to some extent, yes, it's miserable... But by doing so, I have the flexibility to go wherever, do whatever I want whenever I want... A thing which can't be accomplished when you're with friends...

I do agree tt having some ppl to accompany you is good... But with your close friends are all busy, I don't see why I should cancel my plans to watch a movie just because they can't make it... After all, my life doesn't revolve around them... Now some might suggest calling those not-so-close-friends... Tt's a even worse idea... Imagine asking them out to a movie... And then what??? Watch a movie and then say bye-bye??? Since they're not-so-close friends, common topics will be hard to come by and by not inviting them, I'm sparring myself the awkwardness tt's sure to follow should I really hang out with them...

Hmmm... After writing all those... I've come to realise tt I'm actually more anti-social then I care to admit... I'll leave it to you to decide if it's a good sign or not... After all, nothing can be totally good nor bad, be it in the short run or the long run...

LOL... I'm getting all reclusive not... I tell you, it's the not studying part tt's making me think so much... How I wish I could turn back time and make time stop @ the instant when I'm not only young @ heart, but really young... I longed for those carefree days tt are now gone forever...

*Sigh* It's only human nature to appreciate things only when they've lost them... Oh well... I shall now drown my soul in [FMA] and [RO]...

Btw, I'll upload pics in due time... Was busy in the past because of games and will be busy the coming week due to work commitments... Have to do OT for a couple of days next week... And I would like to thank [YL] once more for those wonderful sweets tt she bought for me from [FinLand]... It's really sweet of her to do tt... Tee-hee... *_*

The World And I... (Imported From Xanga)

For 6 mths, I've been living in the adult world... And my conclusion is tt it's a real challenge for me to actually adapt, considering tt my adaptability quotient is rather low... I know, there's no such terms... But I'm trying to give a rating as to how well a person is able to adapt... So as to do standardisation... Of course, the scale is from 0 to 10... Or 0 to 100, depending on how precise you want it to be... And needless to say, 0 implies tt you're those hopeless case like the dinos in the Ice Age... While 100 means you're the roaches - totally adaptable and hence it's long life till now... For me??? I'll give myself a 45%, which translates to me being adaptable, but @ a slower rate as compare to nomral standards of 50%...

And it gets worse... With some major tranformations going on in my organisation, I've to re-adapt to the new environment once again... I say re-adapt because from the time I started working till now, I've switched appointments 2 times (in 6 mths!!!), switched working environment once... And now, I've to adapt to the new system tt's to be in place soon... Gee... Tt's a lot of changes tt's taking place in my life... Not to mention the even bigger change of student to adult life... I've no choice but to deal with it and I'm barely coping... My breaking point is near... I can feel it...

And to make matters worse, my head (not the one resting on my shoulders) is one demanding lady... She expects a lot from me as my appointment is the [Assistant Chief Clerk]... So what if I'm the [ACC]??? I don't know all the directives inside out and neither do I have the right to check who the heck gets posted in or out of the organisation... So how am I to make sure tt whatever notices tt's printed out is up to date??? Sure, it's checked by the [Chief Clerk] and if she didn't find any mistakes, I don't see why I should check it again... It's like you're not trusting a person who has a higher authority than you... Isn't tt a form of disrespect??? And if I'm not informed of the movement of personnels, how am I supposed to know abt tt??? Gee... And then there's the whole issue of spelling... If the computer didn't detect any errors, it's only natural tt I assume tt there's no error in spelling... After all, I'm no language expert, so I can't tell for sure if there's any spelling errors...

I shall stop rambling here and take care of those counter-arguments tt're bubbling in the minds of readers... Yes, I'm selected to hold this appointment due to my excellent 'A' Level grades... But this does not mean tt I'm good @ the language department... In case you haven't realise, I'm only good @ the scientific aspect of life... I accept facts and don't question it... If you say tt it's correct, I'll accept it unless you prove it otherwise... And being good @ science-related subjects, which for the record, makes a lot of assumptions, I'll tend to assume a lot... So if someone says tt some other person has been posted out (a hypothesis), I'll assume it's a fact as it's (1) from a higher authority and (2) the [Chief Clerk] - another person whose authority equally high - supports the hypothesis... Hence if you say otherwise, I fail to see why I'm the receiving end of some lectures as it's seriously not my fault to begin with...

Like I've mentioned earlier, I'm good @ science related issues... So when it comes to the language, god forbid I try to attempt to correct whatever tt's presented to me... I might end up making it worse... And once again, if the computer didn't detect any spelling errors, assunptions are made once again tt the work is flawless so again, I shouldn't be responsible for spelling errors... But I do admit to typo errors...

Last of all, the issue tt make my blood boils the most is tt I give you a document to sign, you call me to make changes, I made them and you leave the camp without signing... Tt's like so unfair!!! If in the 1st place you know tt you don't have much time to entertain me, then DON'T set me of to run in circles only to be back to square 1 30 mins later... It's a complete waste of my time to climb the stairs so many times and to rush for no absolute reason... Grrr...

I know, I have to deal with it... But heck... I really need to vent it somewhere... Of course, this little prob of mine, no matter how hugh it is, can't be compare to what [Earth] is suffering from... The results from global warming has finally surfaced after years of speculations of what it'll actually do... Cities are sinking, winter's getting shorter, plantation yields are off scheduled and mozzies are reproducing like amoebas... This is the price we have to pay to enjoy whatever we have now... Cars, excellant network of roads, nice buildings, unlimited internet access... We're giving the environment up in order to enjoy a better standard of living (alleged)... Quality of life is detoriating and so does the stadnard of living... We may be better off now in the short run... But in the long run, my 13 floor house will become the 1st floor... And I'll have the seaview right our of my window... Not a pretty sight to behold I tell you...

Once such things are put into perpective, let's just say tt everyone has their problems... It'll be over in no time... But when will the world's problems be solved??? *Ponders*

Cohesive Run... (Imported From Xanga)

A couple of mths ago, I went to [East Coast Park] for a run organised by my organisation... And today is the 2nd time tt I've took part in such events... I didn't participate willingly though... It's just tt the alternative of not participating in the run is much worse than running itself... To deploy me @ some water point and wait for the whole even to be over is hell for me as this would mean tt I'll be those few to be dismissed last... Which equates to reaching home @ a even later time... Uh-huh... Not good... So I opted for the run...

I know, some of you might think, why not apply some leave and relax @ home instead??? I could've done tt... But I feel dumb... Imagine... On a [Fri], you come all the way to work and then when it's lunch time, you leave back home... It's like, why bother to appear @ work anyway??? And then there's the other... To apply leave for the whole day... Tt make more sense... But then again, why waste 1 day of leave just to escape some run tt's actually beneficial to my health, considering tt I don't exercise much???

Thus, @ abt 1500 hrs, we headed towards the park @ the other end of this tiny little dot and the run's 7 km... For those preparing for the upcoming [Army Half Marathon]... For me to run tt distance would be suicidal... So I settled for a run/ walk combination... I ran abt, say, 2 km before walking all the way back to the start point... Therefore, effectively, I've covered abt 4 km... Which is a personal best as it's been a long time since I've actually used my legs for such long distance... The amt of calories burnt must be a record high... Heke... ^_^

Even though I was running alone, the sight of certain part of the park does bring back some really fond memories of the past few times tt I've been to there with [The Gang]... It's like I could literally see myself and everyone there riding their bikes... And of me and [Cass] riding the double bike... Of [JY] doing her rolling blading and falling... *Sugh* Those are the fond memories of the good old times... Wonder when will we ever do such things like tt again and actually be 1 big entity and have fun??? *Ponders*

Nostalgia aside, while I was running and walking, I was ppl gazing as well and since it's the sch hols... There're tons of teens around and some of the guys look hot... Note tt I'm using the word 'look'... This is because from afar, they do look like they're good-looking with those exposed tanned torsos and I'm short sighted anyway... >_< And then there's the problem of staring too intently @ them for too long... I'll be damned if they notice this weird guy tt's staring @ them... So I'm reduced to sneaking a peak once in a while to imagine their alleged good looks and tanned torsos... LOL... The degeneration of my mind is accelerating now tt I'm in an environment tt's dominated by guys... x_x

Oh well... Before I end off, I think I saw tt actor from [I Not Stupid], [Shawn Lee], today while I was @ [Lot 1] to fill my poor empty stomach tt's been grumbling ever since I've done the run... He's handsome... Tt's all I can say abt him... But he doesn't have tt innocence tt he has always portrayed in those movies... Gee... Which is like so predictable... After all, reel life is just tt... An act...

Friday!!! (Imported From Xanga)

YES!!! It's finally Friday!!! In the past, back in the days when I'm still studying, I didn't appreciate Fridays... Hell... With holidays, who cares if Friday's early dismissal day?! Of course, back in those JC days, Fridays are the most dreadful days in the week as my dismissal time's 1600 hrs... Zzz... One of the latest days in the week...

LOL... Then I was tossed into the working world shortly after my 'A's... And with no hols, Fridays are the best... As working hours are simply 0800 hrs to 1700 hrs... I know, 30 mins isn't a lot... But the alternative is worst isn't it??? Haha... Guess I've fully understood the expression TGIF...

Today's a special Friday... I've took the afternoon off to collect my school graduation cert... It's looks like a A4 report book consisting of your testimony, your results, your CCA achivements as well as the laminated cert... Didn't really take the whole afternoon to collect the cert as my house's well, is just a 30 mins bus ride away... So I headed to [Lot 1] to do some stoning in the library before I went to get my haircut @ those $10 10 mins salons before indulging in some pasta all my myself in [Pizza Hut]...

Some might think it's very pityful to be dining alone... Hell... They think it's pityful doing anything alone... But I'm totally cool with it... Well, most of the time actually... Some times, I do think it'll be better to have some company to chat and laugh with... But tt thought won't last very long as I'll enter into some stone mode and get lost in thought in my own fantasy world thinking abt everything @ once... Abt [RO], [MS], [YH], [SL], the gang, is there any guy tt nice looking, abt bumping into friends/ collegues/ enemies, etc... Till I'm effectively not thinking @ all... LOL...

But don't get me wrong... I'm thinking now... Thinking of what to write... Something tt won't bore you ppl... Which brings me to the 1 tiny article I chanced upon 2 days ago... It's abt [China] cutting some scenes in [POTC 3] due to - I'm NOT pulling your leg here - some horror scenes... The moment my eyes fell onto those few words, I couldn't stop myself from doing a double-take... I read the short article twice to ensure tt my eyes aren't playing trick on me... Now, if you tell me some scenes are cut becasue... ... Wait, I can't think of any reasons for cutting any scenes [POTC 3] is totally harmless... Yet the [Chinese] obviously think otherwise... Maybe the horror is of [Davy Jones]'s sotong face... The horror of seeing a face with so many writhing limbs... Gee... Then should [Greek] mythology (think [Xena], [Hercules]) shows be screened in [China], maybe a lot of scenes will be cut... Thanks to those double-headed dogs, snake-haired women, hundred-headed serpents, etc...

Oh man... My toes are still laughing from the memories of the article... And I know... You might now be thinking maybe it's the fighting scenes... Puh-leze... There's like so many fighting shows already... All those wu xia shows aren't scensored right??? So why should [POTC 3]??? And what's wrong with [Chow Yun Fat]??? The article reported tt some scenes are cut due to him... Maybe it's the scary looking scars on his head.... Uh-huh... Very frightening...

Still recovering from the laughter... LOL...

Reasons to enter NUS Biz... For those hot-blooded guys only...
1. There's a significantly larger proportion of female students compared to male students in the faculty...

2. The said female population in the previous point do make some efforts to dress up before coming to school, unlike the school uniform of bermudas, slippers and worn out JC T-shirts tt female population in Engineering/ Computing wears...

3. The Biz sch shares its canteen with the Law Faculty, which incidentally boast of the only other faculty where students, especially the femal population dress up before coming to sch...

4. The nearest canteen other than the Biz sch canteen is the Arts canteen where there is also a large population of female students...

5. The western food stall is the best in NUS...

6. You are formed into project groups consisting mainly of yourself and 3, maybe 4 other hot young female students, who will pretend to be fascinated abt your escapades as a commando ranger where you killed 3 cannibals with your bare hands, killed a sea serpent with your jungle knife, and ripped the beak off the Kraken whilst in the jungles of Bourneo...

7. 4 out of 5 of the female population in Biz sch likes to wear short denim skirt with tube top when in sch...

Gang Outing... (Imported From Xanga)

Watched [POTC 3: At World's End] early in the morning... It's the 2nd time tt I've woken up so early in the morning just to catch a movie... But @ least this time, [CCK] screens the movie... Thank goodness I double-checked the newspapers to confirm the theaters tt're screening the movie, or else I would be @ [PS] watching the 1035 hrs movie instead... Oh, the unreliability of the information found on the internet...

Anyway, I wouldn't say tt the movie is fantastic or anything... It's simply to wrap up the trilogy, nth much... Though [Jack Sparrow] is really hilarious to watch @... The way he runs, the way he handle situations... Somtimes I also wonder if he really has everything planned out... Or tt he just based it on pure luck to save his butt... Yupz... So tt's it... 2.5 outta 5 stars... Of course, hotties like [Orlando Bloom] doesn't really add marks to the overall rating of the movie... *Screams* [Orlando Bloom]'s hot!!! In this movie and in [LOTR] as well, of course...

Once the movie has ended, I met up with the rest of the gang and we headed to town, to [PS] to be exact... [Darrell] and I were on our own for most of the time as the girls decided to do some shopping of stuff tt are not meant for us to see... Leaving the 2 of us to hang out @ the arcade and to look @ ppl playing [Big Sweet Land]... Not tt's a sure win game... Provided tt you spend enough on the machine, obviously... You get to win tons of sweets (like what the name of the machine states) and, if you're patient enough, you can play till you win the jackpot, which is some soft toys tt you can probably get it @ [Mini Toons] for @ most $50... But heck... Who cares how much it cost??? The quality time you spend with your friends or your love ones to win tt toy is priceless...

All of us met up @ abt 1640 hrs as tt's when [JY]'s making her grand appearance... And we then head over to [Park Mall] (opposite [PS]) for an early dinner... We dined @ [QQ Mian] and I it's an okay place... The food's average (I'm being diplomatic as usual) and the prize is reasonable as well...

It's during this time tt the girls decided to give me my belated b-day present... I was a little taken aback as this is the 2nd time in the row tt I've received undergarments as presents... The 1st was even more shocking as it's not for my gender... Clearly, tt's meant to be a joke... I'm not expected to actually wear tt and this is not the pt... I'm shock this time round due to the typr of undergarment... No, it's not g-strings... But boxers... I've never worn those before and I'm a little weirded out... Hey... I do need time to adapt you know... When the enviornment suddenly get more airy... And I shall stop elaborating...

Then there's [XP] and [SH]'s combined present as well... A book - [Artimis Fowl]... Wasn't really a big fan of the book and I've only flipped through the other books in the series... But hey, you'll never know... It's a genre tt I like anyway...

Pity there's no photos of this outing, but there's always a next time... And I would like to thank everyone once more... For appearing as well as for the gifts as well... Thanks loads!!!

Laugh People, Laugh!!!
A business man entered a bar and as he was abt to order his drink from the bartender, he saw another guy ordering a tequila, gulped it down and jumped out of the window...

Shocked, he ran towards the window and peered down... But the man wasn't lying on the pavement way 20 stories down... Instead, tt man came walking into the bar without any scratch!!!

The businessman watched in disbelief as the man ordered another tequila, gulped it down and jumped through the window once more!!!

Flabbagasted, when the man returned to the bar without any scratches, the businessman approaced the man and asked, 'How did you do tt?!'

'Oh... It's the tequila... It's gives my body enough buyoancy tt such tt when I jumped down, I'll simply float to the ground...'

'Really?!' Exclaimed the businessman... Without missing a beat, he ordered a tequila, drank as fast as he could and jumped down the window...

A second later, a sickening 'SPLAT!!!' was heard as the businessman hit the pavement...

Heaving a sigh, the bartender turned to the man and scowled, 'Superman, you're a real jerk when you're drunk...'

Annual Affair... (Imported From Xanga)

Finally!!! I managed to catch [Spider-Man 3] @ last... I'll probably give the movie a 2.5 stars... Out of 5 of course... LOL... I'm being diplomatic as usual... I wouldn't say tt the movie is lousy or anything... The effects are cool and the fight scenes rocks... Of course, there are flaws as well... Like how can [Spidy] still have his face mask after it was yanked from him by [Venom] during the epic battle??? And what abt [Venom] itself??? How can something so small become so big??? To be able to form a suit... I'm just pointing out some of those questionable shoots... But with [Hollywood]'s logic, all these seems normal and frankly??? I don't really care abt those 'flaws'... I'm there to enjoy the story line and those special effects... But it's sad tt [Peter] didn't propose to [MJ]... I sort of expected it to happen @ the very end of the show to portray a 'happily ever after' ending... And [Venom] shouldn't really die... Oh well...

We caught the 1030 hrs show @ [Causeway Pt], so after the movie, we had lunch @ [Pastamania] before heading down to [SunTec] for the [World Book Fair]... This year though, the fair wasn't so spectacular... Probably because it's been there for like 6 days already and the buzz's dying... Or maybe because there's the PC show, diverting all the potential customers away... Who knows right???

Spend 2 hrs touring the whole exhibition and in the end, I bought a [Celestial Zone] mouse pad... I'm not gonna use it of course... It's for collection... If I dirty it or something, I'll be totally devastated... I'm so not joking here... Really... Of course, I also did buy a book... But it's not for myself... It's for a special someone and thankfully, [YH]'s there to share the cost... Heke... Reckon now you'll have a vague idea of who the gift is for already right??? *Grins*

A memorable day it is... And it'll be even better if I could've bought more for myself... I initially wanted to, but the book's abt boy love... Wow... A comic all abt boy love!!! Pity it's $30 and god forbid, it's not in English... Pitiful...

While on a fishing trip one day, a woman took her husband's fishing boat out to sea in an attempt to read a book and to enjoy the scenery @ the same time...

Unknowingly though, the boat slowly drifted to the area tt's restricted from fishing... And so the patrolling officer have no choice but to interrupt the woman...

'Excuse madam, but I have to bring you back for questioning as you're fishing in the no-fishing area,' said the officer...

'But I'm not fishing!!!' Exclaimed the woman, irritated by the accusation...

'True, but you have all the equipments,' retorted the officer...

Angered, the woman replied, 'Fine, if you arrest me, I'll sue you for rape...'

'But I didn't do anything!!!' Exclaimed the shocked officer...
