Crumbling Reality...

All this while, I've been blogging on a weekly basis as I do believe tt the more days there are b/w my entries, the more content there will be for every entry... Which makes sense and was working very well for the past few yrs or so until recently when I'm showing signs of a crumbling social life and experiencing the harsh reality of aging...

I headed to [XP]'s house yesterday and I had a great time playing [Persona 4], [CTR] and her [Naruto] VS game... However, @ the end of my 6 hrs game marathon, I'm forced to admit 2 things...

1. I've really deproved in my car-racing ability when it comes to [CTR]... WTH la!!! I can no longer hog the 1st position and have been kicked, pushed, bumped, blasted to the 2nd last position... This. Is. Unbelievable!!! Then again, it's true tt practice makes perfect and the reverse holds true too... My lack of practice has resulted in my fall from grace... Ouch...

2. It could be the lack of exercise or it could be tt and old joints... After 6 hrs, I found out tt unlike the past, I couldn't maintain my sitting position cross-legged w/o feeling the cramps... It's so URGH!!! I couldn't stretch my long legs while playing as the wire of the controllers aren't tt long and neither could I lean on the wall to stretch my legs as the wall's too far away... Of course, now tt I think abt it, I could've dragged another chair and sit on tt, but I... Well, I was too pre-occupied with the [Naruto] battle to consider tt option...

Damn... I'm old and in a mth's time, there's no denying tt any longer as ppl 2 yrs my junior's gonna swamp me...

On a less depressing note, I finally satisfied my ice-cream craving yet again on [Tue] before my lec @ 1600 hrs by meeting [YH] and [XP]... We headed to [Mad Jack]'s for lunch and I initially wanted to eat the meatball baked rice... However, after considering tt I need to leave stomach space for my 3 plus scoops of ice-cream and a mudpie @ [Island Creamery], I decided to settle for a [Beef Lasagne] and half a plate of [Cheesy Mixed Fries]...

And [Mad Jack] is so nice to students!!! Students are able to enjoy a 25% discount!!! I mean, tt's a lot of $$$ saved and it even covers the GST charges...

Headed to [Island Creamery] immediately after the lunch and this time, there's a new addition to the ice-cream family - [Pear Sake]!!! Initially, I fear tt eating tt would intoxicated... I know, I know... If I can get drunk by eating 1 scoop of ice-cream (which for the record, is ridiculous), I'm totally useless... Besides, like what [YH] said, the sake content was like non-existent, so I gave it a try and indeed, it tasted like pear-flavoured ice-cream...

3 scoops of ice-cream and a mudpie later, I made my way to sch and surprisingly, [XP] tagged along as well... She even gave me a tour of various places in sch like the music library, which really, has very little visitors... However, for every study table present, there's a 4 powerpoints below the table, which means tt all 4 ppl are able to use their laptops w/o the risk of a dead battery... This is unlike the other libraries which I've been to so far, where powerpoints are like a rare save point in a high level area in any RPG game...

In addition, [XP] also brought me to the other LTs in the [Faculty Of Science], showing me how some LTs are damn big, while others have tons of powerpoints in them before joining me for my [Understanding The Universe] lecture... And speaking abt my course, the course is interesting despite me totally forgetting the [Physic] concepts of gravitational and magnetic forces and how they're applied to the concept of the various planets revolve around the sun in addition to the other minor bodies such as the asteriod belt b/w [Mars] and [Jupiter] and the [Kuiper Belt Objects] - the family of stuff where [Pluto] now belongs to...

Furthermore, get this, 1 slide in the lecture said tt the probability of getting killed in the [USA] by a meteor is equivalent to tt of a person dying by a plane crash, which has a percentage of occurance of 0.005%, which I don't think is really tt accurate... And I think it's not really tt impt anyway... I mean, I seriously doubt tt the MCQ test will ask such questions anyway... -_-"'

Amazingly, [XP] fell asleep during the lec... And it happened before the 30 mins mark was reached!!! *Gasp*

Hmmm... Moving on... Just a forthnight ago, [Digital Life] has a review on yet another [MMORPG] - [Dragonica] - tt's not offered by [AsiaSoft], but rather, by [iahgames.com], the body tt's offering [Granado Espada]... Tempted by the reviews, I went to DL the game and gave a test play and before I knew it, I was hooked by the cutesy pics and 3-D like gameplay...

Scenes from the [Hero Quests]... It's like a story mode for the game...

Me defeating the boss monsters and they begging me for mercy... Muhahaha!!! *Sadistic laughter*

LOL... I've a strange desire to kill monsters tt're cute... Why is tt?!?!

Before I end off, next [Sat] is gonna be an epic one... [The Games Expo] will be held @ [SunTec] from 3rd to 5th of [July]... And since [Fri] is only for VIPs, the mass media and other by-invite only ppl, I've no choice but to appear @ tt even on [Sat], to check out the games available... More importantly though, is to chatch the ppl cosplaying... Yes!!! There'll be a cosplay event and competition as well!!! This time, I'll be bringing a real cam to the event, unlike the previous yr, I dumbly brought only my HP to act as a cam as well... Totally stupid lor... Zzz... -_-"'

All in all, charge and equip 10 megapixle cam by [Fri]... Arrive @ [SunTec] on [Sat] by 10 am... Tt's the plan... Woots!!! ;)

2 Days Of Holidays...

YES!!! After slogging - to a certain extent - for 6 wks, I've finally completed my very 1st course in [NUS]!!! LOL... It's a course for celebration, which is why I'll maximize this 2 days of my 'term break' by blogging, get on [Facebook], play some online games and ultimately, prepare for next semester...

Okay, maybe there's not so much preparation as to merely printing out those [PowerPoint] slides by tml so tt I'll have something to refer to during the lect on [Mon]...

Moving on...

The week have been really hectic!!! Not only do I have to mug for the exam today, which translates to cramming all those facts on the [South Asian] community here, which for the record, requires alot of reading, and I really mean alot of them, I also have to prepare for yesterday's tutorial... Hmmm... Okay, so I didn't really do much preparation, but the whole cramming of info is really tiring... After all, there're a lot of articles to read and not all are as easy to understand with my not-so-fantastic conduct of [English]... Plus I don't have the luxuary to read the same 20+ pages article twice to fully understand it...

Not tt those information really stays in my head anyway... LOL... I'm talking abt 60% info retention rate here... Get the pic???

In other words, I was using the lect [PowerPoint] slides as my main source of info to survive the 2 hrs exam... It's those 6 choose 3 essays kinda situation, so this meant tt I don't have to really study EVERYTHING to excel... Which is like, 'DUH' if you've been through [Social Studies] in sec sch...

Anyway, I think I survived the exam... Just not my hands which is like totally cramping after writing for 2 hrs nonstop and churning out 9 pages of written works... I could hardly move my fingers from tt pen holding pose w/o feeling the muscle ache... Which goes to show just how long I've actually did so much writing and @ such a fast pace...

Now, if you tell me tt I can type the essay out, my fingers wouldn't be complaining... HAHA~!!!

Oh, and yesterday was such a bad day la!!! I initially wanted to enjoy a cheaper [Mac] breakfast by doing it in sch as they charge the food there cheaper... But when I arrived there, I saw the notice tt said tt the [Mac] won't be open till 11 am during semester breaks... Like WTH LA!!! I endured hunger pangs just to be in sch earlier for my breakfast and what do I get??? I've to wait for another 30 mins, 30 excruitating mins for [Mac] to open just so tt I can eat the normal lunch meals... NEI NEI lor!!!

Now, apart from ice-cream, I can't get [Mac] breakfast outta my head... Zzz...

Oh, oh and I went for a haircut on [Mon] after my lec!!! I headed to [Beauty Reveal] for a cut + wash... Interestingly, the hairdresser was a person of indetermine gender... Serious!!! The name seems suited for a guy, but the appearance seems like a gal... Even I can't tell from the voice and the clothing really hides the visible signs of both gender... Oh well, I don't really care as long as I get my haircut and it looks nice on me...

New hair-style and and attempt to be vain... Ha~...

Not so for my mum though... When she came back, she asked me whether it was a guy or gal who did the haircut for me... I said I didn't know and she was like 'how can you not know?!?!' Zzz... I didn't wanna be mean to the hairdresser who did my hair, so I simply told mum tt it's so-and-so and she got the point...

My point here is, how can I be such an idiot as to not know whether if it's a guy or gal who did my hair?!?! Therefore, my 'IDK' simply refers to someone of indetermine gender... Ugh, and my mum's reaction to the hairdresser was simply those old gen negativity... Pfft...

Moving on once again...

Before my lec on [Mon], I thought wrongly tt [SL] could be @ camp, so I decided to stop by the [Faculty Of Engineering] to see-see look-look and test my luck in my attempts to disturb the poor dude... The plan backfired as not only was the camp starting on [Tue], but I FREAKING GOT LOST IN THE FACULTY LA!!! As a result, I was more pre-occupied with finding my way out of the faculty than seeking out group of ppl doing orientation-looking activities...

As a result of tt, my quest evolved to those scenes in an [RPG] game when I don't know how to proceed and ended up randomly walking everywhere just to find the not-so-hidden passage way tt leads to the continuation of the story... BAH!!! Zettai hopeless~... *Sigh* -_-"'

LOL... Anyway, [Wed], I decided to eat some lunch @ [Pizza Hut] and I brought [Sis] along... Had the [Chicken Sausage Baked Rice] student meal again while my sis did her ala carte order... And this time, I really did my research... If you order the add-on from the lunch menu of 3 garlic bread, the cost is like $1.95... BUT!!! If you were to buy the whole garlic bread, which consist of 6 slices, it's only $3!!! In other words, it's better if you order it separately!!! Woots~!!!

Side-track a little... Me eating bake rice has fuelled the desire to try the meatball baked rice @ [Mad Jack] again... LOL!!!

Back to topic...

Me attempting to do something dumb like stuffing the thing-which-you-use-to-grab-pizza into my mouth... LOL... I managed to do it w/o any major injuries, thank you very much...

LOL... Time for me to sign off... Haha... And I just remember this... You know just not too long ago I was moaning abt having to write tt 2k words essay??? Well, I got it back yesterday and I got a 'B' grade for it!!! HAHA!!! Kinda proud of myself... LOL!!! ^_^

[Wed] night, I checked the webby for the timings on [Angels & Demons] and I cursed my lack of determination on [Tue] to really finish up the essay or to peel myself away from the com so tt I can @ least catch the movie @ [West Mall]...

As a result of my incompetence, I've no choice but to catch the movie on [Thurs] @ the expense of completing my research for the tutorial today, but oh well, those can be done after I've watched the movie and am home @ night... And I really, really wanted to catch the movie instead of waiting for the DVD to be out...

In the end, the only cinema tt has an afternoon timing was [Lido]... Not being really sure of the exact location, I went to [Shaw]'s webby to double confirm where the cinema is actually located... You know, to prevent myself - someone with extremely bad sense of direction - from ending up @ another place, say like [City Hall] for instance... [Lido] is @ [Shaw House], in [Orchard] while [Balestier]'s @ [Shaw Plaze], which I believe is somewhere near [Raffles Place Shopping Centre]...

Yes, with location confirmed, I made a phone call to meet [SM] @ [Far East Plaze], noon so tt there's time to buy the tickets as well as to have lunch before ransacking my wardrobe to find something decent to wear tt will go with the scarf and tote tt are gifts to me by [The Gang]...



On a brighter side, it's a good thing tt I've waited till now to catch the movie because I can finally use the complimentary pass, which means tt I'm paying $0 for the ticket... Wahaha!!! No matter what, it's still better than the alternative of $6... LOL... This time, I really did bring my matric card around to cash in on the benefits of student price... If the need arise, of course... =P

Yeah, and the interesting thing was... [Shaw House] has those express escalators!!! 2 in fact, 1 from the 1st level to the 3rd, the other from the 3rd all the way to the 6th floor, where the cinema's located... Woots!!! Haha... I was so tempted to ride on it... However, seeing tt [SM]'s really, really afraid of heights and I'm not tt mean to have fun while he takes the lift all by himself and meet me @ the 6th floor, I took the lift with him...

Once we've bought the tickets, we headed over to [WheeLock Place] for [Burger King]... Interesting huh... How tt there's so many fast food restaurant on the 6th floor of [Shaw House] - [Mac], [KFC], [Subway] - just no [BK]... Zzz... This time, when I ordered my meal, I requested for the student's meal @ the last min and tt's what saved me from spending an extra $1+ if I were to order a normal meal...

I'm really sounding like a child being totally thrilled over the prospect of using the martic card to get those student benefits tt have been eluding me for the past 2 yrs thanks to my integrity in not carrying around my student EZ-link card... Pfft...

I bought my [java Chip] from [StarBucks] before heading to the theater... Which I almost regret as the air-con's really cold and I'm drinking a chilled, ice-blended drink, which might just make me colder half-way into the show... Thankfully, tt didn't happen thanks to my trusty scarf and long sleeves tee... LOL... The scarf part was BS la... You can't possibly actually buy tt tt thin thing can indeed keep me warm... =P

The movie's not bad despite it not following the novel... The really not good part was tt they didn't feature the [Illuminati Diamond] as the last brand, but used a cross or something... BAH~!!! The best scene however, was the part when the antimatter exploded upon contact with matter... The special effect's awesome... It's like something out of a RPG game... LOL... =D

Both of us headed to [Borders] after the movie and as we walked around, we realised tt there's a lot of vampire novels around... It's like vampire-themed novels is the 'in' thing now... Hmmm... Now tt I've thought abt this, perhaps it could be due to the whole [Twilight] episode tt propelled the interest in such genre...

Fast forward to [Sat], I joined both my grandmas, my cousin, my mum and sis for a trip down [ChinaTown] to consume dimsum... In my opinion, it's not a very big nor famous shop, but @ least the food there ain't tt expensive... For the 6 of us, we spent close to $57 in total for a good decent meal tt consis of 6 serviings of [Xiao Long Paos], 2 [Siew Mais], 2 [Prawn Rolls], 3 [Steamed Rice Rolls], 2 [Glutinous Rice], 1 [Yam Cake], 2 [Chinese Tea], 1 [Teh Tarik], 1 [Kopi], 1 [BBQ Pork Bao]...

Like I've mentioned, quite a meal...

Following tt sumptous lunch, all of us decided to head back to my paternal grandma's house to visit her pet bird - [Bao Bei]... As we were making our way there, we passed by a fruits stall and the durians was simply too irresistable and we ended up buying 3 of those for $20... It was really a good investment as the durians are totally fleshy and delicious, unlike some tt are totally bland... Ho-ho... To think tt we're eating duirans in this kinda crazy, hot weather...

I just hope I don't end up falling sick... Zzz... -_-"'

Unimportant...

I've been absent from blogging for the past wk or so and tt's because I've been busy in my attempts to cough out my essay... It's due today @ noon, so I can now heave a small sigh of relieve now tt I've finally cleared 1 out of 2 obstacles in this course... The next one tt I've to tackle is the exam next [Sat]... Zzz... W/o motivation and concentration, this is indeed an uphill battle where losing is not an option... Gawd~!!! -_-"'

Anyway, the other reason why I haven't been entering new entries is because I'm serious, hopeless being caught up in games after games in [FaceBook]... I swear tt the invention of tt social networking site is bound to doom me... What's with [Happy Farm], [Barn Buddy], [Farm Town], [RC], etc... I can never stay online long enough to do decent research or productive web surfing... Ever other 10 mins or so, some unseen force will control my hand to move the mouse, clicking on those game tabs to get an update on the progress... *Sigh*

Anyway, it's nice trying to blog from sch, using the sch com to do the work... Kinda fun playing around with [Windows Vista]... I know, I know... When I get the laptop and actually use the OS full-time, I'll not be singing it's praises anymore... Okay, back to topic... I'm in sch because, as mentioned, I have to submit the essay... The lec's @ 1400 hrs, which leaves me abt 90+ mins of stoning before I head for lunch...

Now, I believe many will say tt I should be using this time to do some studying instead... Heck, even my inner voice is yelling for me to do so, but apparently, the drive to do anything other than studying is still the dominant side controlling me... LOL...

*Sigh*

Crap man, I can't access [Barn Buddy] thanks to the com tt I chose... It doesn't have the latest [Flash Player] and only an admin user can install it... Ugh... There goes my harvest... Blehx... =X

Oh well, I must find the time to upload all my pics from my outing to [Tampines 1]... Couldn't risk losing all those precious pics to a crashing com... Ha~...
