Movies Galore!!!

2 movies in a week... I don't think I've ever done tt... Okay, so maybe I'\ve done it in the comfort of my house or friend's house... But what I'm saying is, it's the 1st time tt I've been to the cinemas to watch the movie, twice within a week... I'm contributing way too much to the economy...

Anyway, I went to watch [The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian] today with [SM] frankly, the movie was just average... There wasn't much during the beginning and it sort of became a little tedious to watch as most of the scenes then was all dark and gloomy... It's only towards the ending, when [Peter] was fighting [Miraz] - the evil uncle of [Prince Caspian] who usurped the throne - tt it became more exciting... The 1-on-1 battle was thrilling, I admit... Yet the most fascinating part was when [Lucy] finally found [Aslan]... The moving trees tt joined the war thereafter was cool, and so was the summoning of the water to destroy the bridge... These 2 events caused the tables to turn in the favour of the [Narians] as well as to help end the war, which goes to prove tt the forces of nature can't be trifled with... LOL...

Of course, if I were really to compare this with [Accuracy Of Death] which I've watch on [Wed], I'll definitely give my vote to [Accuracy Of Death]... I do find tt it's a better movie, probably because there's a little bit of comedy and it's abt life, death and hunky-looking death gods... Plus the humour in the movie really got everyone cracking up in laughter... Worth watching!!!

A lot more happened when I went to watch these 2 movies, as well as from the time I last did some blogging... However, tt's it for this entry... I'm off to watch the [Jap] version of [Hana Kimi] and continuing my migration back to [Blogger.com]...

My 2 Cents Worth Of Thoughts... (Imported From Xanga)

Rather than moan in every entry abt my woes from parents, work, lack of a boyfriend, etc, I've decided to talk abt what's happening around the world for a change... Am I doing this so as not to be so self-centered and himbotic??? *Laughs* Only I myself will know the truth... Provided if I actually face reality head on... Haha...

Anyway, let me jump on the bandwagon of [Asia]'s twin disaster... I wonder if [Mother Nature] hates this part of the world so much for it to bring so much death and destruction within such a short time... 1st there's [Cyclone Nagris], which destroyed much of [Myammar]... And the ruling junta isn't helping to reduce the deaths in their own country by refusing to allow foreign aid... If they're trying to prove tt they're able to handle this all by themself, this is like so not the time as lives are @ stake here... They should put down their pride and ego and accept the help tt's being offered with open arms... @ times like this, no country is going to mock you for being unable to handle this single-handedly... *Sigh*

It's time tt [Myammar] actually get this into their heads... Tt no country stands alone in this globalised world... We're all connected to one another whether we like it or not, so we just have to deal... By refusing help, you're worsening whatever diplomatic ties you have with the rest of the world, which will do the country no good... Seriously, what's the point of having so much power, and yet not using it to do good, by allowing your ppl to get a better life??? Perhaps the juntas are demons in disguise, demons who feeds off pain and suffering...

Or maybe I'm just, like the other countries to some extent, concerned tt [Myammar] is unable to increase the supply of rice in time to stop the maddeening inflation of it's price...

Then there's the 7.8 magnitude quake in [Sichuan] which killed tens of thousands of ppl... When I saw those articles of the devastation, I'm also horrified @ the emotions tt're so visibly etched on the survivors and their family members... There're a lot of grief, it's heartrending... To think tt so many ppl died in just over a span of 3 weeks, it's like there's a mass genocide or something... The only comfort in this is tt @ least [China] is allowing the other countries to lead a helping hand...

If you think abt this, this could be [Gaia]'s way of punishing us for the harm we've done to her... By disrupting our economic growth in an attempt to push us back in our advancement as a race, so tt she can recover from the many wounds we've inflicted on her... Don't protest... There's a research tt proved tt there's a relation b/w the degradation of the enviornment and us, humans (why am I not surprised @ this finding)... Polar bears are becoming cannablistic, plants are blooming earlier, birds are migrating earlier, penguins dying and rising sea lv due to melting glaciers... They're all a result of what we've done in our pursuit to grow...

*Ponders* Maybe the end of the world as we know it isn't the death of the human race, but an event tt will reduce our numbers considerably and bring our technological progess back to square 1... Perhaps it's time the world not develop so fast and start to think abt sustainable development seriously... Otherwise, we'll enter a bettle with an entity where the odds are never in our favour... A battle the human race will never be capable of winning...

I realised tt I have a knacked for making up ridiculous hypothesizes... A week ago, I deduced tt NTU and NUS are sending out their acceptance letters by alphabetical order... Starting from 'Z'... This is deduced after studying the trend... I mean, if you consider the surnames of the ppl who got tt letter - [YQ], [SH], [XP] - and some of my colleagues with surnames starting with 'N' and 'S', and those who have yet to receive the letters - [Cass], [JY] and I - plus colleagues with family names of 'K', it all click...

LOL... Yes, it's 90% crap, but don't shot it down yet... Wait till I get the acceptance or rejection letter 1st before disproving this hypothesis of mine... I need hope, even false hope... Wait, come to think of it... I don't really need much hope cause I haven't actually freak out over this matter yet... Which is good cause whether you worry your brains out or not, it's not gonna affect when the letter will reach you... So why choose the path which will cause you to lose sleep and age - esp. me, when I'm gonna be 20 in a couple more days???

Anyway, over this past few days, I've come up with yet another hypothesis which I think rank higher on the crap-o-scale as compared to the earlier one which I've mentioned... I reckon tt there's a correlation b/w the increasing global temp and a person's insanity and their ability to actually think straight... Look @ what's happening around the world...

We have @ the top, the [House Of Horror] in [Austria]...Rather than avoiding tt house like a plague, ppl have been flocking there in an attempt to look @ the prison where [Elizabeth] was trapped w/o sunlight for 24 yrs and been subjected to psychological trauma caused by her insane dad... Then there's also the case in the [Middle East] I think, where a father butchered his daughter who fell in love with some Brit soldier... And the infanticide in [Germany], where 2 grown-up children found the corpse of 3 infants in the freezer while looking for pizza... Apparently, the murderer's the mother... *Gasp*

Oh and the following 2 came out in the papers yesterday and they're my personal fav... A 42 yr old male chef was jailed for not disclosing the fact tt he has HIV when he got a 16 yr old boy to perform an indecent act on him while both of them are in a toilet cubicle at some shopping centre... Plus there's a [Indonesian] maid, 42 yrs old, who had sex with the employer's 15 yr old son after she caught him watch Internet porn...

Now you see how twisted some ppl with the slow increasing of global temp, oil price, rice price, electricity price and everything in general... Which concludes tt as the end of the world approaches, we won't die because of some natural disaster or get wiped out instantly by some meteor colliding with [Earth] or by the explosion and/or dying of the sun.. We'll mostly go mad and cause our own demise...

Oh, and then there's a comment on the [Forums] in the papers yesterday which makes me want to roll my eyes so hard tt it'll pop out.... A lady was writing to the papers commenting tt local unis should guarantee every student who meets the basic requirements a place in the uni... How impractical is tt?! Imagine if everyone's offered a place in the 3 local uni, and all choose 1 particular course, do you think it's possible tt tt faculty can accommodate everyone??? Or if everyone choose 1 particular uni, do you think tt uni can accept everyone as well??? Obviously the benchmark have to be raised over time, selection for the better ones to enter have to be made... After all, [Darwin]'s law of survival of the fittest isn't there for nth... Sheesh!!!

Yet Another Mundane Entry... (Imported From Xanga)

As I type this entry, the fact tt my blog is boring beyond imagination is getting more irrefutable by the characters tt is appearing in this entry...

So how do I actually spice up future entries??? Maybe if I actually give some constructive comments on the current affairs, tt could work...Like my take on the real threat of inflation tt's affecting [Singapore] due to the rise in price of oil, rice and everything else...

Or my opinion of the evil tt's running loose on this world... Like tt of the father who locked up his daughter in his own basement for 24 yrs and fathered god-knows-how-many children with her... Tt's incest to the lowest level... Tt father ought to be locked up in a cellar, deprived from sunlight for the rest of his life... Gee... I can't believe some men actually like bedding their own daughters... I really think tt's disgusting... If your wife doesn't wanna do the whole mating-dance thingy, find a pro or something... It's totally yucky to envision the father and daughter... *Shivers* It's a wonder tt their offspring's not mentally retarded or something...

Then there's another article of a Israeli man butchering his daughter up just because his daughter fell in love with a Brit soldier... This is totally outrageous... If you disapprove of the relationship, then tell the daughter 1st... If she refuse to break up, then learn to accept it you narrow-minded pig... Chopping up your own flesh and blood totally blew the scale of insanity... There's no room for regret cause the daughter is already dead... Therefore, if you're reall, reallyy against the relationship, disown her...

Will this spice up my entries??? Or should I get a boyfriend and talk all abt our honeymoon phase??? On second thought, this is a bad idea as (1) I don't think I'll get attached anything in the near future and (2) if I broke up with said boyfriend, it's gonna bring bad memories when I read through those entries again... But should I let the latter stop me from finding one??? Guess not...

Anyway, I just realised tt I'm not only physically weak, but mentally weak as well (which is not surprising to some)... I recently decided to totally give up on He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Mentioned as I've accepted the fact tt it's totally a waste of my time and effort to invest anything in him (another fact which I should've accepted long, long time ago)... Yet when He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Mentioned unexpectedly appeared right in front of me yesterday, I almost lost tt resolve I had and gave in to my hormones... Craptastic...

I should just not thing abt tt anymore and let fate decide who should be Mr. Right... In the meantime, I have to maintain whatever social life tt I have, play [Cabal Online] and try to write out tmy own instructions on solving the [Rubik's Cube]... Yes, I managed to solve tt cube by following the [Toy R Us] guide, just by reading alone, w/o any one guiding me... *Proud look*
